Cope's Knotty Pine Cafe

My husband and I went here for our first time this weekend. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was BUSY. We waited maybe 10-15mins and got seated. Services was fast and they were sweet. The coffee was pretty watery but that’s okay. The food was great. My husband got the French dip and I got the French toast. I can’t wait to go back. Update: my husband and I went back this last weekend about a month later. I got the French toast again, unfortunately it was a little cold, but regardless it was still delicious. My husband got the French dip again as well and said it was amazing.

Great restaurant! Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service starting from the host and the waitress was attentive and courteous and the food was deliciously good, tasty breakfast with large portions, prices were decent less than $20 dollars total for a big breakfast including coffee. Over all I will definitely will be back!Food: 5/5

Excellent choice for breakfast or lunch. Knotty Pine is on the list of top five places in Bakersfield to eat breakfast. I ordered the hamburger steak patty with salsa, eggs and biscuits and gravy. It was outstanding, the patty is almost one pound... Huge. My son ordered a waffle with scrambled eggs and sausage patty, he said it was the best! Their portion size is very large, don’t be surprised if you are having to take some to eat later. If you have never been here you’re missing out.

OMG OFF THE CHARTS! First time Came in had the Turkey sandwich. It wasn’t like an ordinary turkey sandwich this had a thanksgiving style to its served with delicious gravy on top of mashed potatoes! Def recommend this place forsure

WOW! You better be hungry when you go here! Our first visit, we had ham steak and eggs breakfast, easily enough for 4 people! Karla and ALL the servers were super friendly, every one of them checked on us to make sure our meal was perfect. The country decor adds special at-home feel. Great home cooked food, very affordable, kind and friendly people make for an enjoyable breakfast or lunch! Highly recommend!

This place uses LIQUID CHEESE SAUCE for its omelettes. Personally I think its gross but maybe it’s other people’s preference. Just seems ghetto to me. A meal is only as good as it’s ingredients and fake cheese isn’t good…it’s fake. They also charge a $5 service fee without informing you of it. Jokes on them though because I tip better than that when the establishment is honest. You won’t find that here though, not in there food nor in there service. What a shame because others seem to really like this place but this is an honest review of a dishonest restaurant. Also I added the salt and pepper myself you see in the pic because the omelette tasted flavorless. Lack of seasoning goes right along with fake cheese. Pinching penny’s where they can I guess

Omgoodness this place is a literally slice of heaven. The food was so good. It is so small on the outside, I passed right by it. Once I realized where I was going, I noticed that I missed it because it had the parking lot FULL of work trucks. Now.....we KNOW it is gonna have some good food if it is PACKED on a Wednesday morning. Surprisingly it didn't take long to get a table. The food arrived quickly and man oh man.....it was so good. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

One of my favorite places to eat breakfast, served all day. Be prepared to have a little wait for a table in peak times, but it is worth it. Service is great they keep your drink full, what ever it is. The menu is pages big lots of choices from every food group for every type of diet and taste. They are ALL super friendly like family. Not sure they take reservations it's first come name on the list called in order. They do not serve dinner. Breakfast/lunch only.
