This chain of theaters has popped up in a few of states that I have visited over the years, including Missouri, Iowa, and Ohio. Each of the theaters I have visited have one thing in common; they are very outdated. From the seats to the from counters, it seems this company has not had it in their budget to upgrade the visitor experience in ages. I understand that is a huge investment, but the competition is quite a ways ahead in this area. The theater outside the seats was a bit small and the sounds was just OK. There was a not so clean smell in the theater that had me wondering if my visit was just before a major deep cleaning effort. Maybe it was because I was in theater 6, the only one without a digital board the haunted, forgotten screen!. I have made up my mind that Marcus theaters will not be my go to theater and I will spend the extra time driving or skip the theaters altogether. I hope they change my mind in the future, I really enjoyed the experience they provided when the price of the ticket matched the experience.
Stopped in to see both Oppenheimer and Barbie. Getting tickets and movie snacks was super easy. My only complaint is that they keep the theatre dark while showing the ads before the trailers even start playing so its hard to find your assigned seat without pulling out your cell phone.
They were nice to me from the start. The young man taking my ticket money was very helpful even though the computer was not working right. The girl who got my popcorn & drink was extremely nice. I was happy with the seating, sound and the actual theater too. It was a pleasant experience and I will be back.
The staff is so friendly and helpful! The only negative for me is the restroom. I'll never understand why handicapped stalls are in the very back of a restroom. I have to leave the door open, as it is not truly a handicap friendly stall, just slightly wider than the other stalls. The engineers and architects need to spend a day as a person in a wheelchair to understand how truly frustrating bathrooms are. Pro tip-I use the family restroom at Target before I watch a movie.
We saw Oppenheimer and of course the movie was great. The popcorn was warm and really fresh. You can also get free refills of pop and popcorn. I thought the prices were a bit high though.
Solid place to catch a movie. Pretty standard to aNy movie theatre in a mall. Nice workers, good location in mall next to an ice rink which is kind of cool.
Realize this is an old theater that has a old setup. Very confusing setup on my first visit to this theater. The box office was closed and they were selling tickets at the concession stand. There was no one taking the barcode from pre-buying the ticket. The order ahead for concession pickup wasn't ready but they quickly got it ready. Popcorn was decently fresh and tasty. Old style soda fountain so No freestyle soda here. Smaller auditoriums here. The seats were an old style seating from the 1990s and were comfortable enough and in good repair it seemed but the chairs were that limited movement rocking base but the back and arms didn't move. Video and audio were decent. Not advanced but it was movie on the big silver screen. Bathroom was clean and over all it was a decent experience. I'd certainly go watch movies here again but I wouldn't pay full movie price tickets. It's not worth that. I did notice they have 3D showing there and I'd be curious how that auditorium is and how the video for the 3D is. If it's like the one I was in, I'd recommend finding another more modern theater for the experience to be better.
After paying 70 dollars the movie was late by 10 minutes and they forgot to give my children the things they ordered and my kids had to remind them, we watched the movie with the lights on till someone went out and told them but I did a cool cup
We’ve loved every theater experience that we’ve had here. Amazing popcorn. Quality , sound , ect is always so good .
Solid theater. I would recommend going on a Tuesday to get discounted tickets and concessions, then it’s well worth the price! Easy to purchase tickets in person or online. They do not have salt out for popcorn.
