You like outdoor and drive through dirt roads? Here is a place for you! J.W Corbett is beautiful place nature full of wildlife. If you decide to visit make sure your tank if’s full of gas, because is all nature and far, there’s no phone reception as well. Is a nice please to get away from all city life!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Great free camping very sandy!! Try to avoid the big middle section that's where the hunters gather but all were respectful. We arrived after dark set up camping spaces are labeled and far apart. Family friendly or gather friendly, tent friendlyVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Spent the weekend with the FTA Loxahatchee Chapter, hiked the Ocean to Lake Hiking Trail to the Little Gopher Campsite. The campsite is great, there is a firepit with 4 long benches around it and two poles for bags. The campsite is huge and well maintained. The water source is west of the camp at Big Gopher Canal.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
One of the hottest places on earth!! Also one of the most rustic, scenic, and remote places in south Florida. Go in packing lots of water for hiking. Have your feet ready for muddy watery hiking at times of the year. Lastly make sure you check out the “hole in the wall”!
A must see for wild life and nature lovers! Be prepared for dirt roads and Florida wetlands. Beautiful scenery and camping areas, 4 wheel trails, hunting areas only if you have a license and you might get to meet some gators and wild turkeys. Don't drive in without truck, and please don't off road right after it rains... stuck in the mud!
Very nice primitive park. We camped out in February and were the ONLY ones within miles! Not a single mosquito bite! Absolutely marvellous place . Many people riding 4wheelers around , but everyone was very nice! if you take the North Entrance Bee Line Hwy the roads are good all the way to camp sites!
What an incredible first experience! My fiancé and I just moved to Florida and camped here for a few days. We saw a few gators, a couple of otters playing, and many birds. The Conservation Superintendent was very welcoming and informative about the area. He seemed very happy to be there and his conversation was a blessing. We definitely recommend visiting here and will hopefully return!
Cool place to ride around and it’s 5 mins from my house so it’s convenient. I do some hunting there during season but it’s not as good as it was when I was a kid. You can only ride the main grade roads and Trail 6, unless you’re hunting or scouting to hunt during seasons. Registered vehicles, street legal MCs, and UTV/SXS only. No dirt bikes or 4 wheelers. Alcohol is only allowed in the camping area. FWC is there and in full force so don’t mess around. I’ve been stopped or have seen FWC about half the time I’ve gone there.
Road needs scraping, but otherwise, love it. Nominal fee, over 65 residents are free. Great place to camp & fish. If RV'ing, like we do, campsites are primitive, no dump station, showers, etc. If you wanna "get away from it all", this is the place.
Do not be misled by the photos of people off roading here in their jeeps. FWC stopped us as soon as we entered and said profiled us by saying “I can tell you’re from Miami, you’re not allowed to bring your cars here” immediately went on to say they will follow us and fine us if we attempt to do any off roading. FWC stated we are not allowed to off road on any trail in this park not on trail 6 either as some reviews say
