Community Of Recovery Experience
A non-profit organization dedicated to helping addicts and alcoholics find a program of recovery.
CORE Branson is a non-profit Christian ministry designed as an intentional and dedicated outreach to the alcoholic and addicted of the community of the Branson, Missouri area. In a cooperative effort with concerned community leaders, established the local base in 1995 as an outreach to the “working poor” of the area during the economic expansion of the mid-nineties. Since that time, the ministry has evolved to include housing as well as supportive and instructional services to addicts and alcoholics in our community.

The CSR class offers the fundamental message and planned program of action offered to the world of alcoholism and addiction in 1939 when the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous was published; the same fundamental message that resulted in a 75% recovery rate by 1955. Every Wednesday afternoon and evening CSR is offered to the clients of Communities of Recovery and, as with anything we offer, open to the public. Over the course of five weeks, two hours weekly, you will have seen all 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous taught and will receive a certificate of completion in doing so. All classes are taught by a group of trained presenters, or as Sam Shoemaker once said, “…ordinary men and women with great need who have found a great Answer, and do not hesitate to make it known wherever they can – a trained army of enthusiastic, humble, human workers whose efforts make life a different thing for other people!”
