I had breakfast there for the first time but it won't be the last. The food was excellent and very reasonable. The service was fast and friendly. Great place. Have to try lunch next or maybe breakfast again.
We waited forever on our food. I believe our ticket got “misplaced”. After waiting 30 minutes on breakfast the waitress finally came around and said it would be out in a minute that she was going back there to help the cooks plate the food. My son ordered hash browns and some were still frozen. The grill apparently was not clean because pieces of burnt food was all over the frozen hash browns. My grilled biscuit was also cold and had burnt pieces on it. The bacon was burnt and hard. My son begged me not to make him go back there again.
Googled breakfast and it took me here! A hidden Gem. We the 2 of us were literally in and out within 25 mins max with us sitting down getting served and eaten our food. It was delicious and definitely homestyle made. I found my new spot. Can't wait to try everything else. Will be coming back.Food: 5/5
Quant 60’s style racing themed restaurant. Waitresses were very friendly, coffee was hot and good. Food was not as hot as I like. I rated a 4 but would have rated a 5 if food was hotter.
W/ the exception of Corine herself, the wait staff at her buisness is universally polite and helpful--they do what they can to help you. However, the food is virtually inedible. We ordered hamburger steak recently and it looked and probably tasted like the bottom of a shoe. Tough, cold, flavorless. As for the sides, right out of the box or can. On another occasion for breakfast, my wife found an inch and a half long shining strand of metal from a scrub pad in her hash browns. Imagine that winding its way through your intestinal tract We politely brought it to Corine's attention and she took the plate and left us w/o so much as an apology. A customer is left to wonder who does the cooking for the cafe, but it is clear that they hate their work and could care less what they shovel out to the inmates--my guess is ex-prison 'chefs'-. It must be mortifying or should be or at minimum embarassing for the wait staff to serve such awful messes. Survival of Corine's has as much to do w/ a lack of alternatives for eating out in a 'restaurant'' in Mooresville as anything having to do w/ its food. If you get hungry, hit one of the dozen or more fast-food chain spots in this torturous town before considering Corine's. Oh..., the coffee is pretty good if you get there early. enough, but be careful w/ the sausage--back to the shoe sole speciality... M
Used to be very good and clean. NOW- kitchen rating is 82, floor and walls, curtains are dirty. Air vents are black with dust and dirt. The last 3 times I ate there, within 15 minutes had significant diarrhea. I won’t be returning and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
The sanitation score is 82 . Gross gross gross. Too bad Corrine worked all these years to have a decent place too eat turned into garbage. Corine sold this place a few weeks back from what i heard and it shows.
Has beautiful design, comfortable seating options, friendly atmosphere and, comfortable service volunteers ; Who are very, happy with anyway they can help, make your day-night life, better.Food: 5/5
Busy, slow but good food, good waitress, poor atmosphere Our waitress was doing a really good job considering how busy they were while understaffed. We were at the bar and one other waitress was having a bit of a meltdown the whole time we were there. Another waitress was causing drama with our waitress. The place was packed and the food slow but our waitress was doing 4 things at once juggling it well. The food and drinks were good though the squash was over breaded. I was disappointed that they were out of all their Dutch items and most of the dessert. I'd like to come back when they are better staffed and stocked.
A diner should serve food that is enough for a meal. Super small portions!! Like a school lunch back in the 60's. Child's portions. Pretty typical. Country fried steak the size of a McDonald's hamburger. An extremely small bowl half full of mashed potatoes with a spoon stuck in the center. Got the fried squash as my vegetable six slices in a little tiny bowl. Not that they care but I certainly wouldn't return!
