I've been enjoying delicious meals at the Red Butte Corner Bakery for well over a decade. My food is always great, and the prices are awesome. The coffee is also wonderful. I'm so grateful that this location made it through the difficult pandemic times, when all restaurants struggled. Consistency in hours and staffing has definitely returned post-covid, and I'm eating there a lot these days.
I came in to order breakfast while my daughter was having surgery at Primary's Children. They didn't have any over-hard eggs, so I decided to just get a croissant with no egg, but with ham, cheese, bacon, and tomato. However, they brought it with only bacon and cheese. So my wife asked the busser, who brought the food in the first place, to bring it back with no bacon, no tomato, and just ham and cheese. Now my wife went back to the busser to let her know, but the busser rolled her eyes and said she didn't have time to take it back to the kitchen. So my wife told her not to worry about it and that she would take it to them herself. Then she asked a lady named Susan about the same issue, and Susan told her that she would fix it, but we needed to pay extra for the bacon, with an attitude. My wife got confused, and we were already frustrated, so I went back there to find out what happened. She told me the same thing, and I asked for my money back. That's when they finally slowed down and paid attention. However, there was a lady in the back, I believe she was a cook, who saved the day. She made the croissant from scratch and made it with love. 100 points for her, but the front people need to work more on customer service. On another note we order orange juice and they give us a bottle, in my opinion that does not look good for a breakfast place. That tells me you don't have the time or even care about the customer’s satisfaction you just want to sell “orange juice” in the easiest way possible! Think about it?
The BBLT was disappointing. You're a bakery supposedly, but the bread was gross. It may as well have been Wonder bread. For an 11 dollar lunch I'd have been better off at Subway. You all used to have the best Reuben, but that's been gone for years and this was my first stop back since finding out it was discontinued years ago. Sad to say, you've lost a customer.
Nice little cafe close to Wakara Way part of U campus and Museum of Natural History. There's plenty of parking we were there at 1:30 pm, the line was short, and there was a good variety of options. Only a few vegetarian items, but that's pretty normal. I got the power greens and grains salad, which was quite a bit bigger than I anticipated. It was super hearty, filling, and delicious. Food didn't take that long to get out to us either. Overall I recommend for as a good lunch spot, and probably breakfast as well, though I haven't tried that yet. Vegetarian options: Only a couple of vegetarian items on the menu entree-wise, but there definitely were vegetarian items. They were marked by a V.
They sometimes close early. It’s good food. I wish they did a U student discount. Take out is a breeze. I would get discounts in my email sometimes after ordering online.
First time here. You order at the register, find a seat, staff brings your order. Had scrambled eggs with bacon and chunky potatoes and orange juice. Food for all 3 of us was good.Food: 5/5
Yummy fresh food! Set up as a simple prep line & they bring your meals to you, after ordering. Great location for locals AND Veterans! Lots of meals for dietary and vegetarian choices. Excellent selection and fresh baked goods!Food: 5/5
I ordered a breakfast delivery and only got half our order. when I called in they were super dismissive and told me there wasn't anything they could do about it. I love their food and normally have only had positive interaction when I go in person but I for sure will never order delivery from them again.Service: 1/5
Saw Corner Bakery was open for dinner Monday through Friday. We’ve always liked the food but had not visited since the pandemic. We each had the shrimp scampi linguine entre’ and the power greens & grains cafe salad. Delicious and generous portions. Thanks we’ll be back!Food: 5/5
Good atmosphere food and service.. would recommend especially since the Museum of Natural History isn't serving food during 2021 pandemic. 2022 September: Update.. cold eggs.. tiny potatoe and curiously small portions.. 2 half slices of bread not toasted, no butter.. very boring like why try. The place is a ghost town ..... I've been to much better "Corner Bakery's." Not worth the price nor the drive. The bacon is good, not greasy ... but still Not a destination. The vibe is very dull and sullen. .... sad really.
