I loved it here. We came to watch the sunset and was not disappointed. The view is amazing. The ocean water was clean and not murky like some of the other surrounding beaches, and it was just very clean, and you could just walk for miles. I didn't want to leave and will definitely come back here in the future. Playground: They have a little play area for the kiddos Restrooms: The restrooms were clean enough for a public restroom. Dog-friendliness: I believe dogs are not allowed here. It said that on the sign, "no dogs on the beach" so not sure why it's called a dog beach Picnic area: They had nice picnic areas all around for families and just places to sit and chill
Wholesome friendly off-leash dog beach. Dog owners are awesome and I’ve never had any problems. My sweet maltipoo who suffered from major social anxiety really learned to be comfortable with other dogs after regularly going to Coronado Dog Beach. There is a restroom close by and the beach is well kept with a clear pathway and plenty of doggy bags available.
There's no happier place for my pup. From the moment we cross the bridge onto the island, he knows we're headed to his fave spot. Have also found that if all the local dog beaches, this one by far is the most well maintained and owners are attentive to their dogs.
Outstanding dog beach to have your dogs let loose and have fun. You could see how happy the dogs are running around and playing with other dogs and their owners. Everyone I saw was friendly and responsible for their dogs. The beach was cleaned and respected. Ensure to leash your dog if you’re not comfortable with them being off leash or around other dogs. Otherwise, tons of off leash dogs well trained by their owners. Will be coming back regularly!
This beach is very beautiful has a lot of space to set up there's dogs everywhere and easy to bring your stuff to the beach with a flattened path. The only reason I can't give it five stars is because parking can be very tedious and tricky.
Our favorite dog beach to go to! Limited parking around the beach depending on when you go but it’s well worth the park time. Our dog loves it here and always meets new pup friends to play with! Great crowd there always.
Great dog beach! Feels very safe to let your dog off leash here and it’s a blast! All the other dogs were very well behaved.
This dog park is great. There’s generally parking and it’s not over crowded. Decent area with grass and beach which is nice for cleaning up and loading/unloading. I’d recommend bringing your dog here along with a beach towel and some sunscreen. 10/10 great spot to hang with your dog.
The wheelchair and walker sidewalk into the beach sand area, not as far down as the dog park area where the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado is still visible off in the distance is perfect for those with a less than steady ability to walk on the beach sand. I set up my beach towel a few feet away from the "sidewalk" mat and it's perfect for me. Most beautiful place on the planet and makes me so happy. Picnic area: There is a picnic table just at the end of the concrete sidewalk and just where the wheelchair mat style sidewalk begins.
I visited twice here. It gives magnificent view. If you visit on the sunny day, you can take towels to sit or sleep on sandy beach. You will definitely enjoy taking sun bath with coastal ocean tides.
