Coronado High School is the fourth-oldest high school in District 11 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States, named for Francisco Vásquez de Coronado. CHS currently has a student body of 1,556.Coronado High School is located high on Mesa Road and Fillmore Street, on a mesa overlooking Colorado Springs, with a view of Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods.The school's colors are scarlet red and new gold, and the mascot is the Cougar.Coronado students produce a weekly television show for the student body, which is downloadable from the school's podcast.
