Country Store @ Baker

So this past Monday Jan.16th mlk birthday around maybe 4:15 p.m - 4:30 p.m...I walked into this store. I bought a red bull, a small bag of chips and a few pieces of candy. A lady with long black hair rang up my items. I saw the total but didn't really think about it at the time. I believe it was $15.44. Anyhow while waiting on a receipt, i noticed she had turned away from the register and sort of kneeled down doing something. I didnt want to wait so I walked out. But upon getting ready to drive away I thought about what she charged me for the items and I thought to myself, there's no way these few items costed that much. It appeared to me I was overcharged. So I went back into the store and requested a receipt. She gave it to me, after looking at it, I realized she charged me $5.99 for a handful of candy that was only supposed to cost $3 and she also charged me $2 for lottery tickets that I did not purchase. Upon complaining. She looked at the receipt, refunded me what she owed me, with no argument as im sure she didnt want the other customers to hear what was going on. She brushed me off fairly quickly. As I was leaving it dawned on me that she turned away from the register to grab the lottery tickets that she charged me for. So this lady is overcharging customers purposely and useing customers money to buy her lottery tickets. The outrage I felt when I realized it. Ill be calling the owner tomorrow. Shame on this lady for stealing from people.

Loved it! Fluffy cloud ice and milkshakes to die for are just the tip of the iceberg for all there is at this awesome stop. The huge selection of vintage-style sodas shines and sparkles under display lighting. We chose Dang! soda. Souvenirs are fun but if you don't want to spend money, just take your picture outside on the old west wagon or between the angel's wings. The staff are so helpful that when their ice had all sold out in the 116 heat, a call was made and I soon had a 20 pound bag to put in my cooler. This is the best country store in the west!

Quintessential Vegas stop. Clean bathrooms, reasonable prices, tons of stuff both touristy and road-trippish alike. And 400 kinds of soda. I don't know why that's a thing, but hey, if you're into it then get down witcha bad self.00

Cool stuff, great specialized soda selection, souvenirs. Only complaint is no prices on majority of shelves/items so have to keep asking/big surprise when you checkout.

Everything is old with a rustic look like the area around the Country Store but totally functional. Restrooms are clean and had soap. I would totally stop here again for coffee and a clean restroom.

The Soda selection here is like nothing I’ve seen anywhere else period. Friendly staff. I didn’t ask the dudes name that helped me today but he was an amazing employee and went above and beyond while helping me. I asked him what he did when he wasn’t working and if he lived in Baker,CA. He told me he worked 7 days a week. Not much time for anything else. If you are reading this Brutha, thanks again for helping me pick out a terrific Soda. Very great helpful people work here. Bathroom always open..beat up like most desert gas stations but kept clean. Fun store with lotto drinks and goofy knick knacks. A great place to stretch your legs before the 90 or so mile to Vegas. Always stop there.

My granddaughters loved this place! A good place to take a break from the road and browse, though we always end up purchasing a thing or three.

I used to like this place I went in there this time and there was something listed for 2.49 sodas in the refrigerator I go up there to check out and they tell me it's $2.7 I inform him that it's 2.49 on the shelf and he tells me sorry about my luck either I paid the 2.79 or I don't get it so I told him he can keep it, one of the rudest individuals I've dealt with in a long time, I won't be coming back here.
