The rooms are beautiful but they've tried to do all these "enhancements" to make themselves eco friendly but it's really hurt the quality of the stay for us. Refrigerator that only has a 2 hour cool setting that you have to keep turning on, an extremely restricted faucet and shower head for water pressure. Would probably be great for a spa experience but not for a week in the middle of summer. 30 minute showers trying to rinse off. The staff here is amazing though! Very friendly, always says hi to us when we come and go. Offering food suggestions. Staff alone is my 5 start review Walkability: All the food, shopping and entertainment is within a mile in Gatlinburg. Pigeon forge is a 10 minute drive
Absolutely loved our stay. The room was very clean, the bed was comfy and the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. We loved the balcony and had a view of The SkyBridge. Parking is available and free and the location was a quick walk to everything along the strip. We didn’t get to the pool or courtyard on this stay, but they looked amazing. We’ll definitely stay again in the future. Walkability: Location is only a few minute walk to major attractions.
Very good location. Checkin was good, room was clean. We always joke about the “Marriott Courtyard smell” which is welcoming! The room showed a little wear but was not terribly outdated. Staff was friendly when we encountered them. My only concern was parking which just barely seemed to be adequate. For that reason we tried to park by 6 rather than taking our car out and arriving back late. They do have overflow parking but I really wanted to avoid it. Otherwise I’d say this was a slightly above average Marriott Courtyard stay!
Clean and well kept rooms, convenient location, AC worked great which seems to be a recurring issue at many other hotels but we had no problems here. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful, anytime we passed someone in the hall they asked if we needed anything and were happy to help. Great views and very walkable for accessing all of downtown Gatlinburg but also just far enough up a side street to get away from the crowds. I'd definitely stay here again. Rooms: Clean and well kept rooms. Nearby activities: Close to everything in downtown Gatlinburg. Walkability: Extremely walkable. We walked to Over Gatlinburg, Skylift, Anakeesta, Ripley's, the Milkshake bar, tons of restaurants, and even more attractions with ease from here.
Staff wasn’t friendly or helpful. Our rooms ac was not working in this TN 98 degrees heat. Once we made staff aware, they seemed annoyed. Asked for a fan, they said they would look for it. After 4 hours of downtown, came back and the room was even hotter though we had turned down the ac as low as possible. Went down to tell the front again that we couldn’t sleep it was so hot and our reply was “we are still looking for your fan”. After stressing the fact that the room was 75 degrees they sent a repair man up and he just lowered the setting to go to 65. Never cooked the room off. It never got below 74. Sink barely drained in the bathroom. Food was found on the floor by the bed at the window. Probably not coming here again. There’s better options at Margaritaville for the price. Good walk to downtown though. So that’s why I gave it 2 stars. Oh, and don’t bring anything refrigerated bc the mini fridge in the room barely works and only stays on 2hrs.
I must say I’m disappointed. I have Marriott card and prefer to use hotels from this chain, but it’s my first time I’m disappointed. I understand some locations are more upscale than others, but services are also important and some smaller hotels are very cozy too. Our check-in was delayed even though we requested early one in advance. And the thing was that stuff didn’t look all so busy when we arrived. It was as if she walked out and was like oh yeah I need to go clean rooms. Half of the time front desk wasn’t even present. I requested to replace blow dryer that was broken and was told that they’ll bring it soon, but never received it. Cafe/bistro downstairs was very slow in the mornings. People waited for coffee for awhile. Bistro food choices after 4pm was very poor. The location of this hotel is great and I suppose that’s saves it, very walkable to all main attractions, but I checked around and saw number of hotels for same or bit more price for what looked like much better quality amenities. Like pool, for example, not great pool in this hotel either. While at the pool several people requested to bring towels because it got busy and there was no towels. People waited awhile.
The hotel is in a great location for visiting the Smoky mountains and is not too far of a walk from the Gatlinburg shops and restaurants. It's toward the end of the strip so it avoids a lot of the crowds in Gatlinburg. This hotel allows pets. As I walked to my hotel room each night, there were a few rooms that I passed where I could here barking every time. I was glad I did not have a room next to these people. My room had a foul smell by the entrance and there looked to be a stain by the door that had not been treated. My guess that it was from someone's pet. The late night staff was less than friendly. The waitress at the restaurant was very nice and friendly and the food was pretty good too. We ate there twice on our stay.
Location was great, parking was free came in really handy, within walking distance of everywhere you need to be. The room was spacious and clean as well! the only downside is there is no included breakfast, they have a starbucks or bistró option downstairs but there are great nearby spots for breakfast Log Cabin Pancake House. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location. Allows for easy walking access to all of the shopping and restaurants. Rooms were clean and modern. On premise cafe, snacks and drinks were greatly appreciated. The not so good things: free wifi was poor as connectivity would fade in and out. Took several calls to get additional pillows. Took several calls to get maintenance to address room issues. I typically stay at Marriott properties and Courtyards to be more specific. This location is not on par with other Courtyards...
