Very nice workers. Very clean. Nice rooms and nice decor. The outside had a cool seating area and a fire pit. Pool seemed great but didn't get do use it. Location was great. Close to shopping and montage mountain.Rooms: 5/5
Staff was great!! Very welcoming especially the ladies at the front desk. The room was clean and location was great. Only complaint is the restaurant needs more help but food was good , just a long waitRooms: 5/5
My family and I were extremely frustrated and disappointed in this hotel for multiple reasons. Despite having a reservation for a room with a king bed and a sofa bed, we were advised upon arriving that the hotel had given our room to someone else. I asked how that could be possible, since we had reserved the room and given our credit card in advance. I was told that nothing could be done, and that we would instead be in a room with two double beds and a sofa bed on the 2nd floor. This was definitely not what we booked and not what we had agreed to pay for. We were told that it was an “upgrade” because the room was on the courtyard side, but it was far from it. My family and I were only at the hotel for one night, and we specifically wanted a king bed because the quality of our sleep was much more important than overlooking a small courtyard and a parking lot. As we were only on the second floor, we could also clearly hear hotel guests hanging out in the courtyard as we tried to fall asleep. Our six-year-old son especially was complaining about the noise. Additionally, the elevator, the entire 2nd floor hallway, and our room smelled like a toilet. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. It was a far cry from what I had come to expect from a Marriott stay.
BEWARE!! This hotel scams Bonvoy customers. We booked a 1-bedroom suite for 1 night. We were called on day of check-in to be told that the bed in that room was broken. So they were changing us to a room with a balcony and view. They were taking off $10 and giving me 5000 points. I asked if it was the same type of room; she told me it was. Well, we got there around 10pm and noticed every room has a balcony and it is in fact not the same type of room. All night there was an alarm going off, so nobody got any sleep. I called front desk at 2:30am to complain. The next morning, they told my husband it was the ice machine. But, the ice machine was on the other side of the hotel. The manager told my husband he would give us another 5000 points. It is now May 1st, and the hotel is refusing to honor their commitment on giving me the points they promised. The staff at this hotel just lie to customers to try and make them happy while staying there. Once you leave, everything changes. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Staff were friendly and did an excellent job. the hotel was outdated and had an odor. The beds were also uncomfortable and kind of hard. Marriot needs to consider a remodel for this location. We were very disappointed. We left extra because we couldn't stand the smell
COMFORTABLE, CONVENIENT ... BUT A TERRIBLE VALUE I picked this because it was a waypoint on my way from Boston to VA -- a good location for a layover heading south on I-81 -- and because I had an unused balance left on a gift card. This is obviously an older property that, while meticulously maintained, revealed its age here and there. There was a smoky aroma in the air -- not cigarettes, but "forest fire" ... weird and kind of unpleasant. I picked a "balcony room" for a bit more money; the fresh air helped out with the smell and was nice though offered a view of ... yeah, another nearby hotel. The room was small and weirdly configured, so that the bed was facing toward the back windowed wall, and the TV could not be directly viewed from the bed. The bed was comfortable, and there were several nice touches, including 110V plugs all over the place and a tiny couch with one of those tiny laptop tables which I made liberal use of including as I type this. There was an ice maker conveniently nearby. The WIFI seemed a bit slow but worked great. There was no fridge or microwave there would not be room for one anyway. The BAD. They added $5 parking to my confirmed reservation amount; not to sound cheap, but that's a classic bait-and-switch tack-on ... and charging for parking in Scranton, PA? The total before my gift certificate balance was $191, which did NOT include anything for breakfast but available for purchase ... at hotel prices. The woman in the breakfast area, who greeted me as though I was an interruption rather than a guest, explained, "Courtyards don't provide free breakfast." Good to know. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The King room I stayed in was clean and looked newer and modern. The only negative was the restaurant being closed although it was due to lack of staffing which seems to be a trend everywhere. The price for the room was good too. I would definitely stay here again.
Whole place was clean and welcoming. Front desk staff was friendly. Great recommendation for dinner. Informed us of the bar hours. Outside, big, warm gas fire pit. Rooms were chilly, but warmed up quickly. Bathroom fan was horribly loud and tied to the light. Need was comfortable. Room was quiet save for the fan. Nice stay. I was disappointed that I was not greated or thanked as a member, which is usually the norm for a Marriott property.
I want to say off the bat the staff at the front desk are amazing Me and my family stayed in this hotel June 20-22 in room 155 it’s a king one bedroom the listing online made this place look amazing it was far from it, I’m not one for long reviews but it needs it. This hotel is very dated and falling apart, the security lock on our door was held on with multiple loose screw looks like someone broke into it many of times the floors felt damp, the door to the separate bedroom you had to forced closed with your body weight and the layout of the room was horrible in the main bedroom the bed was side ways and the tv was on the side just placed on the dresser so once laying in bed it was almost impossible to watch because of how low it was and the Wierd angle, the room was dirty with cobwebs in the corners and just debris in random areas that a vacuum wouldn’t easily fit, the bathroom was falling apart just caused slapped on everything rusty water line covers and a shower with a broken rusty corroded drain you would expect to find in a rundown motel in a small town this is not a 3 star hotel and Marriott should take notice. I took my kids to the pool and there was trash left laying around no clean towels and the hot tub was closed, and my list can keep going on how disappointed me and my wife where and looking back if this wasn’t prebooked we would have definitely went somewhere else
This has an excellent, centrally located location. It is a shame that the location ease does not match hotel caliber. When we initially arrived, there was a long moment that the GM was trying to tell me that someone was already in my room and that there were no rooms left like that. This was a mistake on his part, thank God there was already steam coming out of my ears by then. When I walked into the elevator I noticed a very harsh chemical smell cleaning products. It was very strong and irritating. Upon entering the room, the same smell was there. My eyes immediately turned bright red and stayed that way until I went and bought cleaner and wiped the entire room down. I had asked for the girl to only vacuum and she did, two days later. I have not had a problem since. The bed is also extremely uncomfortable...... We were assured the hot tub would be running by Wednesday, it is now Sunday and it still does not work. We were also told they had and awesome breakfast. When we went to get breakfast the next day, we were told the cook called out and there was no food. Also, it says Starbucks coffee, but definitely does not taste like it. I was very disappointed to say the least. At least it was close to the mountains and restaurants, there is that.
