Only went to the casino on a day trip. We had a good time. The Terrace restaurant was good, service was excellent. My only complaint would be the bathrooms in the casinoarea. Generally clean, but not on par with most casinos. Although it's another 45 minutes beyond the Lake Charles, it's definitely worth the extra drive. There seems to always be some kind of customer event going, like free play etc.
We had an amazing time at Coushatta. The room was very clean, spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything was very clean throughout the casino. Very inviting!! The location is a little far from other activities but it has everything you may need for your stay.Rooms: 5/5
A 45 minute drive from the other casinos, so it's a good drive, but worth it. Tons of machines! You can get lost in that place it's so big! I went during the week on a Wednesday, but Thursday through Sunday they have Bingo too. They gave me a free room for the night and $95 of free play. Had so much fun meeting people and I actually won! They have a few restaurants, if you get hungry. Nice getaway for a day. Totally recommend, if you don't mind the drive. And I actually like driving. I'll definitely be back ;
First time here. Very entertaining. Difficult to learn everything on your own.. but staff was readily available when needed. Will be better prepared next time as this was a trip done completely spontaneously, from and back to Houston in a span of about 6 hours. Everything was so modernized compared to everything seen on TV. Everything is digital and "tied" to a membership card. No more falling coins....disappointed by that but had fun nonetheless. This place is the Shiz nit. We go here for our birthdays every year. ABSOLUTE ADULT PLAYGROUND Drinks, gambling, Starbucks, nice rooms, bingo, big sky steakhouse with best steaks ever. Chinese food, really great seafood place and Mexican food place just down the road. The rewards program is pretty good. I get free rooms and free play every month. Our absolute favorite casino.
Coushatta is one of the best casinos I have been to. There are always people winning around me. They give really great comps and free rooms. You can even use your comp points for gas and food at the gas station next door. They also give you free play money. Food & drinks: I stayed 3 days and earned enough comps from playing to cover every meal for the 3 days and then some.
Currently staying in the chalets. It was not cleaned. Kids have class work to do and their Wifi is non existent. I asked before hand about this. The cable is absolutely horrible, can't even sit to watch TV. No pots, no pans, absolutely nothing. BBQ pits are rusted and need replacing. Bugs in all of the window seals. Windows are so dirty cant even see the views. Blankets for the beds are only very thin sheets. Kids are so disappointed with this stay. If I had not already been charged we would have checked out the same night we checked in.
I wish there were more amenities for people who don’t gamble. Pool was nice, but there were a lot of families with kids. I wish there had been an adult only pool. There is not a gym or spa on site. There is no shopping. Tennis courts are being changed to pickle ball. What do the non-gamblers get to do? The food was just passable. For the distance and the drive, I would stop in Lake Charles before driving this far. The rooms were nice and clean, so I was happy about that.
Stayed at the RV Resort. FANTASTIC! All pull-trough sites, nice pool, most friendly staff ever. It's the first time we've stayed at the RV Resort, but sure won't be the last! Can't say enough good things about the staff, but the restrooms need a bit more attention.Service: 5/5
If you love slot machines, this is your place to be. But if you want to be at the sports book and play table games I would recommend getting a good pair of walking shoes. They are on opposite sides of the casino. On a different note the room wasn’t the best. The paint was peeling in the bathroom and the shower handle fell off when you touched it.
