Cowboy Parents, the University of Wyoming Parents & Family Association is a free organization for UW parents and families! Cowboy Parents is a great way for parents and families to get involved in the UW community and to stay connected and informed about what going on at UW. Cowboy Parents members receive and have access to informative newsletters, an online parent handbook, and much more! Cowboy Parents members can also serve on the Cowboy Parents Council, which is a great way to partner with UW administrators and departments to promote student success, serve as volunteers, and have a voice at UW.
Get involved. Make a Difference.
Founded in 1991, Cowboy Parents was established to recognize the essential role parents play in the success of their student. Studies show that parental support, counsel, and interventions are key to collegiate student achievement.
Cowboy Parents programs and efforts are designed to assist parents in supporting their university student and to enhance the learning environment at UW. Cowboy Parents primary goals are:
1) To provide parents with their own University of Wyoming connection, serving as a conduit for information and assistance;
2) To provide for a variety of activities that support student success; and
3) To provide the University of Wyoming with a perspective that is unique to parents.
