18⁰ used to have amazing nachos and other delicious eats to add to their great tabs on draft and other mixed drinks for families traveling for out of town games. The great drafts and drinks are still here, but only baseball concessions for food, like $3 nachos with fake cheese. Please return your previous menu and earn the 18⁰ name back from the ice den! It was great, and you have a captive audience!
where did it all go wrong… this place used to be my absolute favorite thing. I would go here every Friday night to skate with my brother and friends. colorful lights everywhere and very nice staff members. the food was enjoyable as well and receptionists were excellent! until randomly after Covid-19, I guess new management took over and now they have different scheduling. no more night public skating. no more colorful lights. a pain in the butt to even figure out how to “register” for your spot. not to mention; times are 3:45 - 5:45 for public skating. what in the woooorld is that? gosh please revert back it’s so depressing, catch me at ice den in gilbert, that place is lit
We're here a few times a week. Private instructors here are the best. My 9 year old daughter is just in love with Gianna . From my limited knowledge, their ice is well kept.
Nice barn! Here for the Ice Breaker Invitational
I've been skating at this Chandler location since 1999 or 2000, playing in the adult hockey leagues for 15 of those years. This rink recently changed hands and is now run by the Ice Den people who run the Scottsdale Ice Den. In general, this has been a positive change. The ice surface at this rink has drastically improved since this rink changed management. It is better kept, with better surfaces and stays reasonable in warmer weather. In fact, they have had some growing pains fixing cold showers etc but seem to have gotten over the hump in these areas. I would have given them 5 stars if not for my last point below. One thing that has declined in the last year for anyone who plays hockey here- the officiating of league games has become inconsistent and poor. In this situation that everyone suffers. Refs routinely do not understand the rules in situations they should know them. It appears the refs have no relationship to the leagues and hence have no responsibility for the quality of officiating they provide. Inquiries and concerns have nowhere to be lodged since the refs have no accountability. This makes the experience poor for all involved. I appreciate the kind staff who manage the leagues and staff the check-in areas. They are excellent.
Nice way to spend the afternoon. It was busier than we expected for and we got there right at 130 when the generalskate time started. Reasonable prices and the skate walkers are cheap for people that arent great on the ice or need a bit to adjust. Stayed the whole 2 hours and that was just the right amount of time for us, even with smaller kiddos.
Nice place to skate. I LOVE that they have walkers to assist you if you're a beginner. It makes a big difference!
Been going to this rink for over 15 years. Have a daughter who has played hockey since PeeWee and 2other daughter's into figure skating and just public skating. I like what Ice Den has done with it and will continue to go there for ice skating needs! Free activity, family friendly!
My son just started taking skating lessons here and we love it! It’s one of the nicest ice rinks I’ve ever been to. The people who work here are all so nice and welcoming. We’ll be coming here for a very long time!
Me and my daughter arrived so she could enjoy the 2 hour open skating and they turned her away because we did not register online. They will make no exceptions even thought there was no one in the lobby and barely anyone on the ice. This is bad customer service and they should be ashamed to turn a young girl away who loves to ice skate.
