This place has gone down so much in my opinion.. I ordered the Roast Beef which per the menu it’s supposed to be a thick USDA Choice chuck roast, slow roasted up to 14 hours until fork tender. Served with your choice of 2 or 3 Country Sides and hand-rolled Buttermilk Biscuits or Corn Muffins. $12.99 I’ve ordered this several times, multiple locations & I swear the portions are so much less! It wasn’t tender at all & it was extremely fatty. I got the mashed potatoes with brown gravy & the corn. Both of these were okay. The buttermilk biscuit were the best thing about this meal. They were fresh out of the oven, warm & thick. We also ordered the Southen Fried Chicken which is supposed to be four pieces of bone-in fried chicken with honey, served with two Country Sides and Buttermilk Biscuits $12.99 These was overcooked & had a weird smell to it. My mother said it didn’t taste funny but it wasn’t all that good either. She got fried okra & pinto beans. She said both of these were okay. She originally ordered cornbread with hers but ended up eating my biscuits because the cornbread wasn’t as fresh. The best of the meal was our server Skylar. She was fantastic!
Fast, friendly service, on a road with many choices for dinner. W all had grilled chicken with different sides. The server was at our table multiple times to set of we needed anything. Standard choices for this always good chain restaurant.Food: 4/5
The Cookeville Cracker Barrel is awesome! Our server Terri was friendly, attentive, and efficient. She kept us informed on the status of our food which was delicious and followed up several times to see if we needed anything. Well done Terri!Food: 5/5
WOw What has happen to Cracker Barrel? From the front door, the place is a mess, trash everywhere, bathrroms a mess, dinning room a wreck. They were not busy. It was Friday @ 330! We should have left but we had been on the road and really wanted some country comfort but didn't find it. The food/ Menu has been changed and everything is different. We waited too long for our food but it was hot when we finally got it. The staff were trying but they were confused, standing around with no real purpose? Finally the waitress told us they were told to push the beer and wine. Clearly this happens at the price of customer service and cleaning up
Once again Cracker Barrel delivers with great tasting food options. You can't go wrong with the grilled trout. The wifey tried the chicken tenders for the first time and she really enjoyed them. They were great tasting, large chicken tenders with a sweet sauce on top. Parking: The parking lot is very spacious!!
This Cracker Barrel was located near my hotel. The hotel breakfast was not very appealing, so I chose to have breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Upon arrival I was greeting and seated immediately by the Hostess. My server very quickly appeared and took my drink order. When she returned with my coffee, she took my breakfast order. My food arrived a short time later. It was well prepared and served hot and as ordered. My server was attentive while not being intrusive. As with most Cracker Barrel’s the food and service was very good.
It was okay. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. My biggest complaint is they have these lamp things that are attached to the table and you can't move them. So as we were having a meeting at the table with our boss you couldn't set anything aside or move anything because of these stupid lamps. I understand their decor but when you have a table full of people you run out of room.
Cracker Barrel is one of those places, you know that you can enjoy your time. Great food, attention and environment. I have been here a couple times already and the service is really good, and to think how many people would come here on a Sunday morning! Just remember to ask your waiter for napkins they don't give as much, maybe they are just trying to save a bit. All in all a pleasant time.
No matter what location in any state I find the service and food exceptional! This is one of Cracker Barrels test stores so you can find new menu items. I had the country fried pork chops this visit.. awesome! Also a great place to get TN Tech gear. Picked up a hat and T shirt for my son.
I think this is the first Cracker Barrel I have been to where the food is amazingly good, the service is great and the atmosphere is good. But, we were served a dirty spoon.Food: 5/5
