We offer free estimates on sewing machine repairs for all makes and models. Our skilled crew has been serving the Twin Cities area of Minnesota for more than 31 years.

My impression is this location isn’t that knowledgeable about commercial embroidery or the supplies they offer. An employee couldn’t tell me what the different thread WTs they offer. Or if they sold tension gauges. I order my supplies locally from SPSI.
Service is slow, but that's what you should expect at most craft stores. Know that the staff are passionate about their craft. If you know what you're looking for, someone in the store can find it. Thankfully, they've upgraded to more electronic systems to speed up their processes.
I haven't sewn since high school and long story, short I should have started here. I walked in and the manager, Barb McKeever spent almost an hour with me. It was truly the best costumer service experience I have had.
A few years ago I purchased a sewing and embroidery machine at this store, little did I know at that time how much I would enjoy having this machine! The staff helped me learn how to use and take care of the machine to keep it working they are still teaching me how to use the next two machines that I have since purchased at this same store. I keep telling them they are the reason I am enjoying my retirement so much. They have so many creative classes that I have taken and have really enhanced my passion for sewing. I have made friends with so many other people that enjoy getting together at these classes, I am having a great time! Many times I will stop in at the store for advise on my projects and how to solve a problem I am having everyone there is always ready to help however they can they are all very knowledgeable. I am so glad they have a new store with bigger space. I look forward to spending more time at the classes! Thanks for being there for me!!!!
I purchased my first embroidery machine 6 years ago at Creative Sewing. I signed up for my first class and had so much fun and met some awesome new friends. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I've since purchased 3 additional machines, including a serger. The classes have helped me expand my creativity. I highly recommend these classes and that you attend a midnight sewing class. The bonding that takes place between all the kindred spirits is amazing. : Hope to see you at a future class... Margaret~
I emailed the shop the issues with my machine and they told me I should bring it in to get repaired. Once I got to the store and the lady saw what I looked like she started second guessing everything I told her before even looking at my machine. Even after telling her it wasn't just being threaded wrong she asked me to THREAD THE MACHINE IN FRONT OF HER because she "wanted to make sure I was doing it right". After I threaded it and showed her that it was the machine not working and not user error she continued to push that it must be user error. I had to make her use my machine to show her that it was the machine and not me. After she only said that the thread cutter wasn't working and that we should send it in for that but obviously I was doing something wrong still with threading even though she used the machine and saw the timing was off. I've been sewing for over 20 years and I've never been treated this way/talked down to like this before.
I bought my first quilting sewing machine at Creative Sewing Centers and signed up almost immediately with Barb in Spring Lake Park for 4 two hours classes on Free Motion Quilting. It was an amazing experience. At the end of the third class, I went home, put all of the information I had learned so far and quilted my first quilt. EVER!! Barb is an amazing instructor. I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to quilt their own quilts.
I have been taking classes at creative sewing and want to thank them for doing such a good job. All the staff make sure that you understand what you are doing and if you need extra help they tell you to come in anytime and they will be glad to help you. I would definitely recommend them to purchase a machine and for classes
I bought a machine for my niece and had a great experience doing a private lesson with a teacher and my niece. Highly recommend this shop and I look forward to our continued learning.
Last night I stopped in to get information regarding an acrylic insert to be used in a sewing cabinet my husband is building for me. I was asked what machine I had and was told it would not work. I continued to explain that we were not going to cut the opening until we had the insert to measure. I was again told this would not work. No questions as to our plan. I had issues with this store in the 1990's, but since I have a Babylock and they are the closest dealer I have given them business in the past couple years. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. I did not like the attitude and I was made to feel stupid. In the future I will drive 50 miles out of my way to get excellent customer service.
