Creative Solutions Counseling was founded with the idea that people want and are able to improve their quality of life. I believe that quality of life changes occur when people are able to envision and plan for what they want or need. Sometimes this involves very goal-oriented therapy; other times people feel like the therapeutic process is one of discovery; still others want to learn new ways of coping with life’s stressors and managing destructive thoughts and behaviors. Creative Solutions Counseling begins the therapeutic process with the individual’s visions, goals, and hopes for their future. The individual is the driving force for his/her goals while the therapist acts as a resource, guide, and co-facilitator. In this respect, Creative Solutions Counseling is very client-centered and accommodates each person’s needs individually.
