Seriously the nicest people. They were booked over memorial weekend and we only needed to park overnight on our long drive. They offered us power up top by the office but we’re setup well for boondocking so we parked in the beautiful field below no hookup. Such a gorgeous place to stop. Great showers. Little store with stuff. Nice folks. Beautiful property with walking trails in the woods. We’ll be back!
Question for the owners, why would you blame anyone for your store not opening? If your store is delayed, accept responsibility for you mistakes. I'm not a fan of Joe Biden, but he has nothing to do with your store. The sign display is negative and creates a negative feeling for many toward you and your facility. Accept your failures and look in the mirror when looking for someone to blame.
The owners were very nice and welcoming. Great space, very quiet. Bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. Would definitely stay there again.
Great place to stay! Very quiet and the people and owners are so nice. The bathrooms are very clean and the showers are very big. Very roomy yards also!!
It was wonderfully quiet. Enough so that I could hear the little stream babbling along all night. The owner, an Airforce vet of Vietnam, has been there for 30 years. He wasn't around when I first pulled in, so I set up camp and went back to the office. I found him visiting with another patron on the way up. He finished the conversation and met me at the office. I checked in, paid, and had a short conversation with him. Very nice gentleman who offered a but of fresh produce to me. Definitely stay a night or two there.
I love the peace and quiet here. Steve and Brenda do a great job of making people feel welcome and try to accommodate people in any way they can. The sites include water and electric with a tank pump out service offered. Also with the sites is a picnic table and fire ring. With big sites to park your camper on people can stay a variety of ways: a night, few nights, week, season, the possibilities are endless. Stay as long as you want. I love it here enough I have decided to stay the whole season next year. If you want a totally rustic adventure they offer tent sites and trails in the woods.
From Savidge's Creekside Campground: A sincere thank you to the two pop up campers that were here the 9th to 10th at sites 19 & 20. When you left, we went as normal to clean up the site. There was nothing to clean or to do. We really appreciate that your site was left just as clean, or cleaner than when you came. Thank you. We truly appreciate patrons that have this level of respect. It makes our jobs so much easier.
This is an absolutely stellar campground! When I arrived I mentioned I wanted to give hammock camping a shot and the proprietors cruised around to find a site with just the right trees to make that happen for me. Going to sleep and waking up to the sound of a babbling creek nearby was magic. After walking the network of beautifully maintained trails, I took a hot shower up at the camp lodge and had a fire under the full moon. I'm not sure what else I'm going to get into this week but I may alter my route to stay another night on my way back. Either way, I'm sure I'll make the drive from Cleveland to stay again before the summer is over. Definitely check this place out!
I have camped there for 4 years as a seasonal. Great people and great place to spend your summers.
I went there with a friend, to check things out for a future stay. Brian the new owner, and family greeted us as promised. They could not have been nicer! Unfortunately as new owners, they were faced with many needed improvements to the property. We were informed, it WOULD NOT be officially opened until further notice. There were permit issues pending with both DEP, and the county health department. It's certainly worth a visit in the future. The owners are committed to take care of any potential campers.
