Small place maybe five booths and a table or two with fun decor. We had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes around 1:00 pm for four of us. Not a bad wait time and the staff was friendly. Really tasty food. My husband and I each got one savory and one sweet crepe. It was the perfect amount to feel full, but not miserable. The pesto was very good and the sweet crepe wasn’t overly sweet. I would definitely come back!
Crepes de Luxe Cafe is a real gem of a place to dine in at. The staff is extremely polite and friendly. The atmosphere is beautiful you feel like you're in France. The crepes are fabulous! I've now tried the Roma and the L'Ocean - both are absolutely delicious! I never imagined that Salmon would be good in a crepe! I've tried the De Luxe sweet crepe and it was such a lightweight dessert - which I just loved eating while sipping hot tea. The chef cooks right in front of you. It's a unique restaurant that provides a unique experience. I will be going back there, again - for certain!
Amazing! The food & bev couldn't have been better. It's the closest you'll find to Paris in Iowa, and I had a very sweet waitress. I'd recommend to anyone who is interested in seeing how crepes are done properly. I was so grateful they were open for dinner hours!
The food is fantastic, great selection of unique crepes. Vegetarian options. Savory and Sweet menus. Neighborly service. One of the best restaurants in Iowa city that you may have never tried. I definitely recommend itFood: 5/5
Coffee smells like freshly ground heaven, the best coffee I ever have had Also There is absolutely nothing like the delicious, authentic crepes here. The decor is a blend of French and Moroccan vibes. The menu has something for everyone, whether you're looking for something sweet or something savory. All the staff and the owner are extremely friendly, and the food is always exceptional.
This place is truly a gem. The crepes remind me of travels to Paris. The family who operates this place genuinely care about giving you not only the best tasting crepes with the freshest ingredients; they care about sharing a smile or a laugh. I can’t recommend this place enough. We are from out of town; but loved it so much that we stopped for both breakfast and a late lunch. Tre magnifique!
Maybe the only restaurant in Iowa City that has real character. The menu is just a variety of outstanding crepes. The French press and various Moroccan teas are some of the best hot drinks in the downtown area. For a brief moment, you can rejoice in the liberation of forgetting you are in Iowa City. A beautiful cozy blend of French and Moroccan vibes with absolutely delicious, authentic crepes. Sweet or savory, they have something for everyone. The owner and all staff are extremely pleasant and the food is always incredible.
Super cute place! The servers were so sweet and friendly, even though we walked in like, 20 mins before they closed so sorry about that btw The drinks and crepes are so good too! I got the s'mores crepe with an ice cream scoop and I would literally marry this crepe. I am in love with it and I will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
OMG! That was all that went through my head while eating here. First their happiness to serve when they were almost closed. Then the experience of being served with beautiful pieces of edible art. I almost didn't want to ruin the art, but I was hungry, so I did. I destroyed it. And OMG! Words can't express the taste sensations that I experienced. I will return.
