Update on: Unacceptable Handling of Application Cancellation The level of unprofessionalism and lack of communication displayed during this process is completely unacceptable. My mother's application was canceled after already being accepted on a Friday at 3 pm due to “insufficient funds” leaving us stunned and bewildered by the abruptness of the decision. Instead of receiving a courteous phone call or a detailed email outlining the reasons for the cancellation and potential alternatives, we were met with a dismissive message from Daniel that simply said, "good luck on your apartment search." This level of callousness is shocking and speaks volumes about the quality of service provided. In response to this clear lack of consideration for your potential tenants, we promptly left negative reviews on various platforms. We firmly believe that other individuals should be aware of the manner in which applications are treated, especially given the time and effort applicants invest in the process. It is nothing short of ironic that only after our negative reviews were posted, another employee presumably higher up reached out to us on the following Monday. This sudden interest in offering alternatives by Daniel, after the damage had already been done to your company's online reputation, is both disappointing and infuriating. The appropriate time for him to have reached out was undoubtedly on Friday at 3 pm when the denial occurred. We want to make it clear that our decision had already been made by the time this belated attempt at communication was initiated. We had accepted another apartment offer and paid 2x rent that same day with our “insufficient funds”. Needless to say the chance to salvage this situation had already passed. This entire experience has left a sour taste in our mouths and has solidified our belief that our negative reviews were more than justified. It is deeply disheartening to witness such a disregard for potential tenants and an apparent lack of concern for their experiences. Moving forward, I strongly urge you to reevaluate your communication protocols and the manner in which you treat applicants. This incident serves as a stark reminder that respectful and timely communication is the cornerstone of any successful business.
As a physician I am very thorough in my research and planning. I had an extremely disappointing experience with the leasing consultant, Daniel Kubler, at The Crossings. Despite choosing this place as our first option for my elderly mother due to its walkability and proximity to family, the entire leasing process was marred by incompetence and lack of communication. From the beginning, the communication was terrible and unclear. I made every effort to cooperate despite these challenges. However, my attempts to reach out to the leasing office during business hours were met with no response, and the provided contact number from the central office went unanswered after numerous attempts. Daniel repeatedly raised issues with my mother's documentation, which no other property had ever done. To my shock, without any direct communication, my approved application was suddenly canceled, citing insufficient funds for housing application and reservation fees. This was despite having more than enough funds available in my accounts. What baffles me is the complete lack of communication. If there were issues, a simple phone call could have resolved them instead of abruptly canceling a desired apartment without notice. Daniel's unresponsiveness and incompetence are truly concerning. I can't help but wonder if our ethnic names or background played a role in this. The overall experience has left me speculating the worst due to the consistently poor communication. Fortunately, we were already approved for several apartments nearby, not as close to my mother's grandchildren as desired. However, I value the transparency and communication in this new place, which was sorely lacking at The Crossings. I will be cautioning anyone interested in this property to seriously reconsider and explore other options. This experience reflects poorly on the management of the property as a whole.
We moved into this apartment about 1.5 months ago because the location was great and the apartment seemed newly renovated. It was a huge mistake. One week after I moved in, the ceiling above the shower started leaking. I called maintenance and when they came, they put a hole in the ceiling to relieve pressure and told me the issue was the tenant above’s shower caulking. The issue persisted despite me calling maintenance twice more. The next week I left for vacation and was out of the country. I had my in-laws check on my apartment and the bathroom ceiling had collapsed. We put in a work order to have that fixed and were told they fixed the leaking in the process. About a few days after they installed the new drywall, we arrived back home to find that the ceiling was still leaking and now soaking through the new drywall. We called maintenance and were told that just now would they call a plumber. We thought our problems would be solved when the plumber came the next day, but we were wrong. Instead, not only was the shower still leaking, but our entire kitchen ceiling began pouring water like a modern ceiling shower. Eventually maintenance fixed the active leak, but the following day, the shower began leaking again. The bathroom now constantly has a musty smell and the dampness leads us to believe there might be mold. Upper management’s response has been nonexistent and it's unacceptable that our apartment has been unlivable for almost our entire lease as of now.
Nice looking apartments but there’s always something falling apart. I’ve been living here for only 7 months and every month there’s an issue. Three different leaks in the bathroom coming from upstairs 3 different times, the oven and microwave lost power randomly like 4 different times. Now there’s water leaking from the sides of the toilet and the bathroom floor is full of water, as well as water coming out from the drain in the bathtub and it’s just accumulating there. Filthy water just accumulating in the bathtub. As soon as my lease is up I’m finding a different location, too many issues to live with.
We have moved in The Crossings at Edison Apartments a month ago. This is fantastic place to stay in Edison/Metuchen with very easy access to all good Shopping Places/Malls and Highways. Everything is only a few steps away. Our overall experience with leasing process was great since the time we met Indhira Vivas. She is a fantastic person who helped us starting from Virtual Tour to actual lease acceptance process and also checked on us after moving in to ensure everything is in order. She made every step smooth with her dedication and knowledge. Thank You Indhira!!!
I am very pleased with the apartment from day 1. The amenities inside the apartment are modern and goes well with the overall design. I would like to especially thank Leasing Consultant Indhira Vivas. Though we did not have an appointment, she was able to accommodate us in between, showed the apartment very patiently and helped us throughout the documentation process.
Very nice experience touring the property with leasing consultant Indhira Vivas. Apartment speaks for itself, great location and great usage of space.
My experience living here was great! Any problems I have had while living at The Crossings at Edison were addressed promptly. Maintenance is friendly and responsive. I will miss living here, it's been a great 3 years.
My living experience has been great so far. Indhira made my move pleasant and was helpful with the questions I had. The staff in the management office have been helpful as well. The location is very convenient to most highways. I suggest this community to anyone considering.
It was with great pleasure I write a review about the Crossings at Edison apartment and specially about Indhira Vivas who was helpful in providing an overview of the place, showed apartments and guide me on process involved to be a resident in this lovely locality. My experience was great since the beginning from the time I enquired about the apartment. Indhira was very supportive and answered all my queries and was available whenever I had to reach out. She ensured smooth process throughout and post moving into the apartment, she was kind enough to walk-through all required details, resolve any issues encountered and answered my queries. Really amazing experience and a great customer support. I would recommend and suggest the service provided by Indhira and the crossings at Edison apartment leasing team to be one of the best. Appreciate the good work done by Indhira. Thanks for providing such a great service and co-ordination! Cheers : Regards - SM
