Pro: The rooms were nice. Bed and pillows were comfortable and it has a fridge. Cons: - The fridge was cool at best. My thermometer shows that it was a brisk 58⁰. - The front desk lady was less than courteous. She acted like we were bothering her and that she was out customer. - The van stops running at 11pm. It's up to you to find transportation. I can tell you that's it's about $20 to Uber to the hotel. There are simply to many other hotels in the area that value the customer. I would choose somewhere else.
Hotel is good. The breakfast spread was nice. Rooms are basic and spacious. They offer free breakfast only for two guests per room. So if you re traveling with kids you might have to pay extra for them. The location is very close to the highway exit and in a relatively traffic free area.. parking in building is 40$ and is very convenient. Rooms: The rooms are basic and spacious. Could use some renovation. Bathroom is very compact with not an inch of extra space. There is not enough ventilation in the bathroom and the shower is a bit ancient.
Good hotel. Staff were great and acknowledged my IHG status and gave me an early check-in. Was very appreciated after a long flight. Rooms are spacious with a great desk. However, they are showing their age. Dent, a board had no fabric, etc. I think it’s due for an update but still a solid choice.Rooms: 4/5
Excellent location- easy to walk to several stores and restaurants. Several parks in walking distance. Rooms were nice, beds comfortable. Only complaint is elevators are really small and I think 1/3 was not functioning well during my stay.Rooms: 4/5
The hotel is high-end and luxurious. There are some things that could be better, mainly in the rooms. They do have pictures of a pool, but I went and it was filled in and replaced with a conference room... They have a bar, spa, snack market, restaurant, Starbucks, gym, and a studio. The room I stayed in had 2 nice, neat, and clean queen size beds. There were 2 outlets that didn't have covers, and they weren't secured properly. One didn't work at all. The bathroom was clean and stocked with items. There was a cut square in the ceiling where I assume a bathroom vent used to be. And the lights in the bathroom flickered a lot. Overall a decent hotel. The rooms just need a little bit more maintenance.
I stayed here in April to attend the Vietnam War 50th Commemoration on the JFK Soccer Fields adjacent the National Mall. The hotel shuttle was free and driver courteous, check-in was efficient, and hotel staff always courteous and helpful. The components of the exhibit I came to set up on behalf of the National Vietnam War Museum were shipped to the hotel and kept in storage until my arrival. I was a bit anxious about this but the staff handled it beautifully and had no trouble locating the boxes upon request. There is a bar but it doesn’t open until 4 pm and there is no complimentary breakfast. I was traveling alone and felt safe inside and outside the hotel as the entrance faces the conference center and one must intentionally be going there as opposed to ‘just passing through’. Safety: I felt safe inside and outside the property and never witnessed the presence of vagrants, loiterers, etc.
