My doctor is fine, that's not the problem, the problem is their blatant disregard for my mental health; I've tried to schedule an appointment in advance March 8th, so 6ish months ago so I could plan ahead, & they wouldn't let me do that--instead saying how they were going to call me to set up an appointment that never happened--so now I'm just screwed, having to wait till my appointment tomorrow to get my meds refilled, meds that I haven't taken in 3 days mind you, 4 counting tomorrow, because they won't fill them without an appointment. They wouldn't even fill a partial script for me. If your deciding if this is the right place for you, I wouldn't bother; I wish I new of a better place to go.
One star is the lowest I can apply to leave a review. I just do NOT feel totally respected from some of the staff at this clinic. Upon my first few visits, everything seemed great. Then, gradually the 'attitudes' changed. The receptionist either canNOT be bothered, or are straight outright condescending. If one of them talks down to me again, I will put away my civil compuser Enough is enough!! Do your jobs -- or get out!! This includes the Doctors also. -- half the time I made to wait sometimes upwards of 45 minutes after the scheduled time for my visit and then I'm giving the brush off or I'm rushed through or I'm not quite listened to and they scoff at me. They are doctors that's what they're there for, to listen to us. Not treat us like chattel. I will be looking for a new primary care provider because I'm so disappointed in this place.
Excellent care, Dr.Jackson is a caring provider. I've personally never had an issue with the receptionists... A couple times my refills were supposed to be sent but weren't & required me calling a couple times to keep on top of them about it. I am patient about it because I know my doctor is juggling a LOT of patients. I think people leaving 90% of these negative reviews would have better experiences if they advocated more for themselves & stayed on top of the busy clinic staff as I have.
I would not recommend anybody choose this clinic for primary care if they have a different good option. Several months of paying $99 per consult for rushed examination, the wrong brace, some incorrect advice, and then when I asked for a referral, having to schedule, wait for, and pay for a consult again. This pertains to my poor overall care for a tendonitis that has affected me through most of 2020. After seeing Hand Surgery of Northern Michigan, the problem was quickly taken care of and I received much better advice. My first visit for a general checkup with this practice was also a bad experience. The PA essentially made me feel that I was wasting their time seeking a GP visit, which I had not had in 5 years, and told me that I am young and healthy enough that I shouldn't go to the doctor for checkups at all except every 5 years.
Avoid this office. Avoid Crystal Lake clinics in general. Across the board they have poor reception staff and doctors who fall short of their calling. Our most recent debacle involves awaiting a referral to another doctor. Weeks and weeks go by as we wait for an appointment call back. We finally call Monday to find out what's going on and ask which office we are being referred to. We are told they need to look and will get back to us shortly. They never call back. This encounter repeats itself Tuesday. TodayWednesday we finally get a name. We call that office to see how things are proceeding and they say they have no record of us. We call Crystal Lake back and it turns out they never made the referral. Meanwhile, my wife is suffering from symptoms that GREATLY affect her ability to work and socialize. This was absolutely avoidable, yet it wasn't. It was handled poorly from the beginning. Avoid all of these clinics. Find a doctor's office that values and cares for their patients.
Excellent service! They got me in right away, very short wait time and started feeling better within hours. Kind and compassionate staff. Wonderful experience!!
Overall VERY poor treatment. My husband takes a type 2 controlled drug: * demanded he come in for a med check every 30 days *would refuse to fill pills until the 3rd or 4th call I take regular meds, not controlled: *demanded I come in for a med check every 3 months *regularly refused or forgot to fill pills, ignored or didn't recieve calls to fill them. People on controlled meds are NOT CRIMINALS. This office treats you like a number.
I love my Doctor! I love the fact if he is full up that day, I can usually see a different provider. I love and trust them all! They take with all their patients.
I have been going to this place as my primary care doctor for a year now. During that time the staff has been nothing but rude, or equally incompetent. I have been having sharp pain behind my shoulder blade for 2 weeks now, and the best the Medical Assistant can tell is you need to make an appointment. Did you read my file? Are you able to do anything but regurgitate anything? I called this morning to ask for a call from the doctor since THEY ordered the X-Ray and THEY never called to tell me anything. I had to follow up with them! The person who just called me called me by my Wife's name! Then proceeded to tell me I had to come in for a visit if I wanted to talk with the doctor...WHEN I ALREADY DID A WEEK AGO ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. So basically the answer is, spend more money so we can charge your insurance company more money and you more money for us to tell you that we don't know what is causing you so much physical pain where you haven't been able to sleep for 2 weeks.
If I could give this office zero stars, I would. The receptionist at work there are incredibly rude, and apparently very forgetful. I dropped off a form I need filled out, and it was lost two separate times. When I call they are extremely rude, that is once you've been on hold for 10 minutes and they finally answer.
