Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics of Murfreesboro

My daughter had her first appointment here today. I was very impressed with this place. It was so well put together, the inside was very welcoming for kids and everything was very clean. I love the color scheme they have going on also. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We did not have a long wait before being seen. My child did not have any anxiety leaving the appointment and looks forward to her next visit. I highly recommend this place!!!

If I could give them a 10 out of 5 I would. This company has made my day. This was the second dentist I was trying to use for my daughter due to an uncomfortable experience at the first one. It was a complete breath of fresh air compared to the previous dentist. The care we received was the absolute best. Every staff member that we interacted with was very kind from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. They were very accommodating to my needs. Kudos to this pediatric dentistry! I have zero complaints and am so glad I chose to go to a different dentist.

My kids love coming here. They are not afraid of the dentist. Everyone is so sweet and the environment is so kid friendly. I was having some difficulty with figuring out my bill and Laura went above and beyond to help me get it taken care of. It is extremely rare to find her level of customer care and I hope they realize how lucky they are to have her working there.

Today I went in with two children to have an extraction and consult. 2:00 and 2:30 I was early to appt. 1:50 Sat in the office for an hour before one child was seen. The 2:30 appointment child. When that child was done I noticed my other child was still waiting at 3:15. I asked the front desk. They never said I’m sorry or apologized, and definitely didn’t admit a mistake. Just said he would be seen shortly. They said “They had to wait for one sibling to be done before starting the next.” But this child was the 2:00 appt. At 3:20 he’s called back. At 3:50 they come out with paperwork to go over extraction. They hadn’t even started. He didn’t come out until 4:26. Which now pushes him being numb right at dinner. He said the shots hurt probably because they rushed it. I was there 2 1/2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. I checked my daughter out of school to just sit in the office. She has Type 1 diabetes and can’t sit around for hours not being able to eat something. Thankfully it wasn’t her.

Called to reschedule appointment, waited on hold for 30 minutes the 1st time. Called again later and still waited on hold for excess of 30 minutes. Who has the time to wait that long when they’re working/ juggling kids. I finally got ahold of someone who didn’t seem to know what they were doing. They told me the soonest available was February. 4 months. The appointment is for a very deep cavity that needs attention. She can’t wait 4 months. We had a family emergency and needed to reschedule but can’t wait 4 months. She’ll be in serious pain. ‍ tempted to find somewhere else for my children.

Absolutely love this place and the staff! The front desk is very sweet and helpful. The dentists and assistants are so so patient and so good with each of my kiddos. Definitely recomend this to any parent!!

The visit itself was fine, once my daughter was seen. Tamika is awesome. The 2-star review is for the 36 minute delay from time of appointment until the time she was actually seen and we'd gotten there early, so we waited almost 45 minutes. After 30 minutes, I asked the receptionist who'd checked us in if I needed to reschedule since it was 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. Another receptionist, not involved in the check-in process or the conversation we were having, said, "Yes, you need to reschedule since you're 30 minutes late." I wasn't 30 minutes late, CPDO was. And, instead of being apologetic, this receptionist butted into a conversation she wasn't involved in to tell me I was at fault. They were so late, Tamika had to unlock the door for to leave, since almost everyone else had left and the office was closed for lunch. Not a single person apologized for or even acknowledged the delay. Communication goes a long way, and I received none regarding their lateness.

Let me give flowers 1st Front desk staff Dentist staff Dentist Orthodontist staff Scheduling —>Orthodontist review: the Braces experience so far…..I am not pleased what-so-ever I’ve been holding off my review until I was able to speak with someone and nothing has changed at all this is the second time brackets have fallen; and I can’t understand how the 1st time the brackets all from both sides was literally less than a week after getting them had to wait a month to get them back in meaning no correction are happening for a month and had to miss work bc those appointments only are certain times no wiggle room no accommodation and the same staff does all the procedures so I’m really meh ok…. Now here we are again and another bracket has fallen off 12/19-20 from “strong brace glue” and a another morning appoint required 1 month an 11 days later but we are consecutively paying monthly but actual progress is delayed or choppy which will either leave the end result mediocre or it will need to be extended …. Once again super sweet staff ; I just don’t like to feel like my time or money is wasted or played with. FYI This is just 4 months of treatment going into 5 months and 2out of those 4 it’s just a braceface smile with no actual progress or correction being done. I hope will be able to update my review in the near future Also FYI I’ve had braces for 3 years in my adulthood and only had my bracket pop off ONCE and it was my fault…eating a crawfish iykyk and my ortho got me in the next day so my treatment would NOT be delayed so I know what to feed/buy and what not to and how to educate my son and I know kids will be kids but still isn’t adding up for me

The best experience every single time. They have a very cute token system you get to put into the gun ball like machines my kids look forward to it every single time. They got my daughter in the same day within an hour due to an emergency visit . I understand that may not always be possible but they made the time which I appreciated so much. I highly recommend

They were AN HOUR late to take my 3 year old for her appointment and said they "forgot to check her in". They didn't even apologize. Nearly every negative review on here cites a long wait time and a front desk that doesn't show empathy. I hope they take it to heart. We're finding another dentist though.
