Currito - Lake Mary, FL

Currito is a really great option for a healthier place to get a bowl that tastes good. Is it the absolute best bowl ever? Probably not - but it’s quite solid. It’s good enough to where I would return quite frequently if I lived closer. I definitely will be coming back when I’m in the Lake Mary area. You can either customize your bowl with plenty of different toppings to choose from, just like Chipotle or other bowl places, but they have a much bigger selection than Chipotle, if you’re wanting to compare the two. I can’t say it’s quite on the same level as a place like Bolay, but I do like the way they have pre-planned bowls you can choose between, like the curry bowl, Carolina bowl, Thai-themed bowl, and others so you don’t have to go into panic mode trying to figure out which toppings are best. Try it out if you’re in the area and you don’t want something that’s 10,000 Calories. I think you’ll like it!

I decided to try Currito for a change than the usual Indian food and what an excellent decision. I was sort of skeptical because I assumed it would be mostly raw chopped veggies but I am so happy I was wrong. I made my own bowl and it was so much fun putting all these random things for surprise flavor combo. Every time I thought I was asking for too much toppings, he asked me if anything else for my bowl. Yess please!! I even put edamame, salsa, hummus! Also, for someone who cooks tofu often, let me just say how grateful I was for them having cooked tofu than serve it raw or tossed with something like many other places. I was more shocked at how delicious it was! My bowl combo was phenomenally delicious amd fresh, my taste buds couldn't get enough of the burst of flavor awakening. Absolutely delicious and healthy and I had enough for two meals. I'm glad I went in and the servers were very friendly as well! Thank you!

Not bad. Nice atmosphere. Vegan options. The kale smoothie tasted weird to me like caramel or something the peanut bowl was sooo small as far as portions go. Not bad flavors. Fast, healthy food. Disappointed with the plastic-ware and straws :/

Absolutely delicious. I did a grains bowl build your own and I had the dreamsicle smoothie. The food was so flavorful and healthy and the smoothie was such a treat. I’ll be back for sure if I’m ever in Lake Mary again.. build in Apopka please so I can eat here more often.

I’ve been eating at currito for a few years and the food has always been great. I always order the Bangkok bowl, and recently in the past few months they have been very inconsistent with the quality of this bowl. It’s been very dry, lacking sauce, and with very little protein. They’ve also increased their prices which is understandable but it doesn’t really justify it when you barely get chicken in the bowl and it’s not to the quality that it used to be.

I came in today and was a little disappointed with the service. My mom and I have been coming from the very first day they opened. The food is good and the shakes are great, but the owner is not a very nice man. I am 18 but I might as well still be a child. I look very young. When went today to order, the owner with gray hair was extremely rude and got very upset with me when I was simply just buying food. My mom had a nail appointment in the same section as currito, so my mom gave me some money to run over there and buy some food. So I got a build your own bowl, and asked for chicken with it. Well, apparently I shouldn’t have, because he was so nasty to me and raised his voice just because I asked to take the chicken off because my mom didn’t realize, but gave me a dollar short. So then he demanded me pay him a dollar, I just gave it to him because I really just wanted to get out of there. Anyways, not a good experience. I even made a face to the worker there like a what the hell face and she started to laugh, probably because she doesn’t like the owner. If he treats his employees the way he treated me, I’d be out the door. It was extremely rude. The restaurant business is ALL about customer, and I would know because I work at a golf course and an rolled ice cream and boba shop. Not once did he smile. I don’t know if he was just having a bad day or what because it was so uncomfortable and unnecessary. I like this place, so maybe I’ll keep coming, but if I see him at the order counter, I’m leaving.

First time coming here.. and it won’t be our last! It is a bit far from where we live.. but we decided to make the trip and run some errands toward this delicious destination. As soon as we walked in the door, Brad greeted us and helped us through the menu. It is easy to read, and grouped nicely to help with the decision making. After trying out two bowls, I don’t think you can go wrong here. Just the freshness alone wins me over. And it’s super healthy!! And not like taste bad and just eat it healthy.. more like .. I can’t believe this is so good! We had the teriyaki bowl and the Bangkok bowl. Can’t decide between them both, so delicious.. Anyways.. just wanted to give good props where it is deserved. The place is immaculately clean, the staff is amazing, and the food was delicious. Just wished it was closer to home. I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu!!

The chocolate smoothie was the best I’ve ever had-but it was my husband’s. The fruit one was better when I added frozen banana at home.Food: 3/5

Great experience: fast service and the food was awesome. You can customize your bowl or choose from one of their suggestions. I got a teriyaki with grilled chicken, it was delicious! I will definitely go back there and customize my next one!
