Cutting Edge Haunted House

About

Cutting Edge - Voted one of the Best Haunted Houses in America and Winner of Guinness World Record for the World's Longest Walk through Horror House.

Description

Cutting Edge Haunted House is one of the top haunted houses in the nation (year after year), as selected by Wall Street Journal, Hauntworld Magazine, Yahoo, US Airways Magazine, Fangoria Magazine, USA Travel Guide, Haunted House Ratings.com and dozens of other media sources. Cutting Edge is a two time Guinness World Record Winner for the "World's Largest Haunted House".
Cutting Edge Haunted House is much more than just a Haunted House, it's a Haunted Event with entertainment starting the moment you enter the parking lot. Drumlines, Zombie Bands and Costumed Monsters roam the parking lot providing high quality entertainment. Inside the event lurk 100+ Live Actors, along with countless Special FX's and Animatronics, a Human Maze as well as a “Stomp” style drum performance.
Located in a 100-year-old abandoned meat packing plant in a section of Fort Worth historically dubbed as "Hell's Half Acre," the Cutting Edge Haunted House is built upon a foundation of fear. The meat packing equipment from the Old West is still in use, but now it is a two-story human processing area. Realistic looking human mannequins are hoisted up to the second level and brought through the entire meat packing process until the conveyor system brings the butchered corpses back to the first level. The old meat-packing plant in downtown Fort Worth is a great home for fantastic special effects. It takes visitors an average 55 minutes to explore the twisting corridors of Fort Worth’s legendary haunted house.
Cutting Edge Haunted House has established a reputation for being one of the best haunted attractions in the nation.

Too many people too close together, long people train. You miss all the jump scares. Many rooms didn’t have actors. Price was much higher than other haunted houses i.e. Hangman’s which is more affordable, with rigid people spacing plans. Effects were still really really good, great room decorations, sound was great, still a really well produced haunted house. Just too many people. They have to prioritize experience over profit.
Best haunted house experience ever!!! This is the second time we’ve been, they do an amazing job. It’s the longest one in the world and done really really well. I’d highly recommend going if you want to give yourself a good scare.Visited onWeekendWait time30–60 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$31+
Very organized parking experience though it is $20 extra so keep that in mind. Didn’t have to wait too long in line though we did get there early. The house was long and fun. Could have benefited from more scare actors. Though overall I did enjoy it.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$31+
This is honestly the best haunted house I’ve ever been to. I’ve been maybe 5 times now, and I always get scared. They are very good at what they do!! Even my old man loves it. You don’t have to go in with a big group of people, you can just go with who you’re with!! And it flows well and quickly despite that. They have a ton of security around the area too. The only thing I’d say is not so great, is the secured parking lot costs 20 bucks to park. I also felt like there could have been more people helping us in what direction to walk in for signing the waiver and getting in line. Other than that it’s great!! Maybe bring earplugs if you’re sensitive, very very loud things right in your face lol.
What a great time. Took my 9 and 10 year old. It was the 9 year olds first time in a haunted house. The characters were scary but giving the boys fist bumps. It was perfect. They read our reactions and responded appropriately. The timed tickets were great. We waited maybe 5 minutes. Everyone was super friendly unless they weren’t supposed to be! . See you next year!
Visited Cutting Edge Haunted House on Friday October 13th 2023. We drove in from Houston TX for this and the Texas State Fair on Saturday. I have been going to Cutting Edge for multiple years but have not been there during 2020-2022 due to COVID. So we were excited to finally go back. Loved the changes and updates, but miss the Saw maze. 2 Major issues happened this go around that made it from 5 stars to 3 stars. 1. They did not space groups out. It was one giant conga line. Even with stations set in between to stop you and let space be made it didn't work. 1st stop at the drummers, which were amazing, we had a 15 second stop and then pushed thru. 2nd stop, was about the same and we asked the worker can we wait a little longer and was told no. 2. Very few actors, not sure if they were not there or because we were in one giant conga line we were just missing them as they were trying to reset. At $65 a ticket, in the end, should of just went to Six Flags on Sunday.
Absolutely awesome house! It has so many twist and turns that make you jump when characters jump out. The music made it better, the drums made it great and the make up was on point! Not for the weak of heart only true halloween fans really enjoy this haunt.
It gets better every year. We purchased timed tickets, we’re directed to a staging area. A short wait later we were sent to the line. While in line they had a drum corp, dressed as skeletons, come out and perform. It was so fun to watch! It took us about 50 minutes to get through the haunt. They spaced groups out sooo much better this year. We didn’t have people pushing us forward this year and we were on the heels of the folks in front of us. The dragon was so freaking cool. 10/10
The cutting edge has the best props I’ve ever seen in a haunted house, you can tell a lot of love and passion went into creating this place. However, they are letting in groups so large at a time, it’s hard to enjoy anything. The jump scares would happen in the front then again closer to the back, we experienced it happening to the front group, they would reposition themselves for the back, while the middle walked on through. So it was mostly just a museum of cool creepy things for the majority of the guests. The groups should really be smaller so that the haunted house can be enjoyed by everyone.
My first time through Cutting Edge. Absolutely wonderful!! I love haunted houses and this one takes the cake! The outside entertainment was fantastic and made the wait pass by quickly. Absolutely loved the characters, the props and decorations. My only concern and issue that I had was the heat inside the house. Lots of warm bodies walking through and it was uncomfortable especially towards the end. I will be returning next year!
