Failed on drinks having 1-2" ice above the Sangria. Soup was fridge cold asked if was a cold type of soup thinking I missed it off the menu. Poached peach was hard as a rock not poached - even googled that thinking it was us. Dessert my friend walked in to get to begin with from the sidewalk was out of season. Manager apologized for that when we were walking out but he was absolutely unaware of the cold soup and fresh not poached peach. Nice touch, but the failure of the waiter to inform management of the other issues was sad. We had literally just seen the hostess swapping out menus earlier when parking, before shopping. Was excited to go in watching vendors and other staff work social media I have clients who don't understand how important social media is outside when we arrived to go shopping at Buddha and Beads. Hopefully they fix the systemic issues. Could be a really good wine bar!!
Food: Excellent flavor & beautifully presented. Creative use of ingredients resulting in interesting but straightforward flavors. Nice sized portions. Chef brilliantly accommodated our one vegan diner. Wine: best by-the-glass wine list I've ever seen & incredible bottle list as well. Tasting flights are offered in 3 3-oz portions, lovely selections. They could improve the by-the-glass sparkling wine options. Service & atmosphere: quickly seated by a friendly & capable hostess even though the place was very busy. Server was personable and very knowledgeable about the menu and the extraordinary wine list. He gave us plenty of time to make our decisions from the extensive menu. He was always at the table when needed but never intrusive. The dining rooms are lovely with good low lighting & wine-related decor. All of our dishes arrived at the right time & were well coordinated. Lively small bar scene too. Would I recommend to a friend: in a heartbeat! Cuvee Ray's deserves to be at the top of any fine dining list in Rehoboth Beach. We had a fabulous evening & look forward to our next visit!
Five stars aren't enough. If you love top shelf wines, wines served properly, staff who are knowledgeable and well trained, you'll love this place. We wanted to come back again and again but ran out of time. We're considering regular visits to Rehoboth as weekend getaways now due to this fine establishment as well as a few others. Ray and his staff are a delight to chat with and love sharing good food, good cheeses and exceptional wines with their customers. Don't miss this gem.
We stopped in for a glass of wine and also ended up ordering the fried oyster small plate. The wine was lovely, but the oysters were truly a pleasant surprise. Super light and crispy breading almost tempura like with lovely accompaniments. Delicious. I don't know why we've never stopped here before, but I'm looking forward to coming back.
This restaurant has been open 2 weeks. We went based on the 3 other reviews and that we enjoy good wine. Ray's did not disappoint. Food was great . Service was very good still new and learning and wine list was varied, reasonable and interesting. Ray was there and showed us the wine wall/cellar which makes an impressive showing. 5 adults, 1 teen . Great time . I will go back.
Phenomenal. What a gem. Ray and his talented team are welcoming and knowledgeable. The food is truly impressive and on par with the best restaurants bar none. Care given to provenance, allowing the quality of ingredients to shine while cooking with truly world class execution. Scallops and duck dishes as testament to cooking perfection. The innovative tasting flights, the fantastic wine selection which best all in the area and then some. Woah. A true pleasure to discover. To top it all off the owner proprietor Ray is a great person. Good enough for a special detour.
Very friendly bartenders with an extensive knowledge of the wine they serve. The cocktails were also well made, including the classic Boulevardier and the New York Sour which featured a red wine float. Both were $5 on happy hour as well, which was awesome. My friends enjoyed all of the red wines they ordered as well. Happy hour also features $5 for 3 local oysters with mignonette. Those were delicious. This is probably going to be one of my go-tos anytime I'm in the area.
Food was amazing, almost too pretty to eat! Wine list is out of this world. So many good choices. Service was great. Will definitely come back to try more things!
First time at Ray’s last night and so impressed with the service, staff and acoustics!!! Nostalgia set in as this location was Sydney’s for those of us that recall her iconic establishment years ago....Ray has absolutely honored her and this location with some of the best acoustics in the state. So many places come and go in this town. Ray’s will be a steady figure and meaningful addition to Rehoboth.
Wow! What a great find in the center of Reheboth. What a pleasant surprise to find Cuveée Ray. If you like a great selection of wine with fantastic food, it’s a must. We ate the baby beets, scallops, and duck which were outstanding, with a white wine chateau turcaud 2016 that was recommended by Chris and simply the best I’ve ever had seriously. It’s a really nice and comfortable atmosphere, with a friendly staff which made our night even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back very soon!
