Horrible customer service. Went to pick up a prescription. Arrived at the window at 1:27pm and was told “I’m closed after this lady.” I politely asked where to do to pick up a prescription and was told to come back in a half hour. There was no one else in line and they closed the cage literally in my face at 1:28pm, with 3 employees yelling at me from behind the pharmacy counter. The main pharmacist even came over to rudely chase me away. I’ve seen rude customer service before, but the other horrible reviews about the staff here are absolutely right - this pharmacy staff and management is atrocious. I’m appalled.
I am formally a patient that has used Walgreens in my backyard here in Epping for years. Since that store opened, I always receive excellent service. But lately it has been a challenge to get my prescriptions. And a challenge to get my refills without getting an attitude. Recently, one of my prescriptions was unable to be filled and they Told me no one was able to get my prescription as everybody has it on backorder. After several phone calls to local pharmacies, I found CVS to be not only helpful, but was able to fill my prescription and the pharmacist was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with, The kind of professionalism that I not only appreciate, but seems to be hard to find nowadays. I will be transferring all of my prescriptions from Walgreens to this CVS store. Thank you for your help, and I look forward to doing business with you for years to come, Bob Jordan, Epping, New Hampshire
CVS in Stratham is greatly improved with the recent remodel! Signs great, lower shelving great. Self checkout easy to use but you can checkout with an employee. Love the new improved CVS!
CVS in Stratham can never seem to get it right. From never answering the phones to not informing patients when insurance requires verification, there is an issue EVERY month. They say it’s due to under staffing but the same issues have been a concern for years at this point so it’s no longer a valid excuse. I would suggest literally any pharmacy other than this one.
not sure why the bad reviews..been going to this pharmacy for many years and britney and the rest of the pharmacy staff is beyond helpful every single time..i dont usually leave reviews but seems many only comment on the negative and forget how over worked and extremely important this line of work is for all of us in the community..i rate it A+!
Easy to use drive thru. I did go in the store today. It was clean, the staff was friendly. The pharmacy runs smooth and fast even in these short-staffed times. My prescriptions are always ready on or even before they say they will be ready.
In picking up prescriptions from the Pharmacy I have, on several occasions, experienced poor customer service, as well as interactions with staff ranging from friendly and helpful, to clueless, to outright rude, depending on the day. It is clear the pharmacy is very busy and understaffed and I sympathize with the staff up to a point. Staff seems unfamiliar with the old saying that, when there’s a problem, the simplest explanation is often the most likely. For example: is it more likely that my insurance company doesn’t know my Date of Birth, or that an overworked pharmacy tech might have simply mis-typed it? I’m not upset, we all make mistakes, just accept that you made one and re-enter the information so we can all get on with our day. Don’t argue with me and certainly don’t speak to me in a way that prompts the customer standing behind me in line to lean in and say to me “she didn’t have to be such a b*tch about it.” Hire more people and give everyone some time off to de-stress.
I think that being under staffed and over burdened has crippled this pharmacy. Sometimes it's fine but some days are horrible. I know that covid has taken its toll on these businesses and it's hard to manage supply and demand for medication and unfortunately most people haven't had there medication in days by the time they get there or scared about results from a covid test, ect and it's hard to be nice and calm when you feel I'll or in pain or worried. it's a frustrating system and I know we feel a need to control every substance that helps people, maybe after several refills a customer could be put into an honor system especially older and very sick people who cant go without them.
Racial profiling at its finest. I take several medications every month due to severe, chronic health issues that often land me in the hospital for weeks at a time. A couple of those medications are very difficult to find each month as pharmacies are always “out of stock”. They always send my husband as I am too sick to trek all over New England on a wild goose chase from pharmacy to pharmacy until we either finally find a pharmacy or my doctor has to substitute my medication. The delay leaves me bedridden in the meantime. Recently, went to this CVS to fill one of my other monthly prescriptions, which is always in stock. I have been in the process of changing all of my family’s prescriptions over to Rite Aid, but my doctor had listed this CVS on the prescription so I figured I had to go there. Otherwise I never would have gone there because the pharmacist there always, always has an excuse for not filling any of my medication for some reason. Sure enough, she told my husband and I that because I get my hard-to-find prescriptions from different pharmacies, and I have had prescriptions from several different providers in the past a result of having moved 4 times in 3 years due to my husband’s job, and several lengthy hospitalizations where I was discharged with prescriptions from the hospital doctors, she refused to ever fill any of my prescriptions ever again. She insisted I change doctors to one in NH, and I explained that my doctor in Boston already knows my complicated history well. I was shocked she was treating me this way. As if I was some criminal and not a severely ill person who has done nothing wrong other than be sick. The last time I unexpectedly missed doses of my medication, I had a seizure and was luckily with my husband who was able to get me help right away. I am terrified of missing doses of my medication again and having another seizure, as it could happen while I’m alone or with my kids or in the car and unable to call for help. The pharmacist made false accusations and treated me like dirt loudly in front of other customers. She refused to allow me to correct her or even respond. I have never seen her treat any other customer this way and I hope no one else has to be treated as cruelly as I was. I should not have to live in fear of having another seizure due to a pharmacist who cares more about her job than the life of a minority she judges to be not worth the “paperwork.”
