Terrible, if they are getting you a flight don’t plan on making it. You know it’s bad when they have a reputation at the airport and the workers at the check in desks have to turn away military personnel because SATO only books the flights but have a hard time completing the transaction…absolutely amazing that one can book the flights and just not pay for them and send out an itinerary. Was on hold with their emergency line for over an hour 01:31:33 to be exact and not one person to help me out. Long story short, didn’t make the flight because of their incredibly abhorrent lack of attention to detail.You’ll be better off trying to book a flight blindfolded and with no keyboard.
Just horrid. I guess the employees try but SATO is just an needless middle man at this point.
Had to call them today. First time took 4 hours to answer. They were able to help but something went wrong. I had to call again. Got to 3 and a half hours on hold and they hung up on me before even speaking. I'm mid call for the third time right now and I am currently sitting at an hour and 10 minutes on hold. Worst company ever.
DOD needs to fix this or find a competent organization. Was on hold for 40 minutes at the airline ticket counter; finally hung up and just charged ticket due to operational changes-wow, you mean things change in the military? Who knew? to my GOVCC. In the private sector with actual competition instead of Congressional kickbacks, they would've been out of business a long time ago. I just got a "How did we do?" Review request email from them. The link didn't work. That says it all...
The worst experience. Emergency travel needed within 24 hours.. I needed to cancel my flight tomorrow evening and re-book for Tuesday morning. Since I don't need to travel until Tuesday morning I wait until tomorrow morning to see if there is even an available flight for me to get on. Can someone use common sense, common courtesy? Can you even check and see if there is an available flight? Cost? No. Call your local office tomorrow morning. No... I don't have anything else better to do tomorrow morning and hold until someone decides to answer.
If I could give zero stars I would. The operators at CWT Sato Travel provide terrible customer Service. Hold times for phone calls average at 45mins and I have had operators hang up the phone on me twice while I search for information they request for less than a minute. From an overall view point, this company should better manage customer demand and add more personnel to their rosters to meet call volume. From a direct view point, their representatives should receive better training on custer service. This review is not posted after a first-time situatiional encounter, I work at a government office where I've had to contact CWT Sato Travel on a regular basis for the last 3 years. It is simply embarrassing.
The army forces me to use this subpar company. They have terrible phone service. I always have to call multiple times for the same thing. The phone wait time is always around 30 minutes or more, and They have too many number, so once I get in touch with someone from Sato, they then tell me I have the wrong number for the department I am looking for. Note* I always get the number from their website. If I could give them 0, I would.
Wait times are typically over an hour on the phone, the normal hours of operation are not conducive to the customers who need to use their service. Agents are typically helpful if you can get one on the line, but then you have to approve what you just requested in an online computer system that rarely works.
Takes too long to get through and they always seem like you asking them to do you a favor... I just want you to do your damn job nothing extra...they need to put out of business. I’m pretty sure most service members know how to use the internet to book their own flights....and we have govt travel cards so not sure why they are even in existence....
Incredible wait times, up selling rerouting fees, pressuring service members to either pay or get off the line as many people are waiting. ..so many to list with my SATO experience. GET YOUR TICKET PAID FIRST AND CALL THE AIRLINE YOURSELF TO REROUTE YOUR ITINERARY BY YOURSELF.!!! we got out $700 cheaper [x5 travelers = $3500].
