We've lived here in a beautiful home on a lovely pond for 6 1/2 years. The staff, amenities and locale drew us from our home in Maine and we've never regretted it. Our needs were well taken care of during the difficult restrictions during the recent pandemic, including vaccinations and booster shots for all who wished. Residents were kept apprised of the regional, local and Cypress Village statistics via the weekly videotaped Coffee Chat, available to watch on the in-house TV channel. It gave us peace of mind knowing how the pandemic was being handled in our community. All of our well being is thoughtfully cared for: mental and emotional and physical! High praise for Cypress Village!!!
I have been a resident since August 2020 in the D tower! The grounds are beautiful, love all the activities, like exercise , Yoga and putting and feel so secure at Cypress! My granddaughter likes to visit and play bingo ,eat at the Loon and do puzzles! The staff are the best and make everyone feel welcome! Love living at Cypress Village!

Beautiful community and caring employees. It’s a tough season for the healthcare and service industry, but the warriors at Cypress Village give their all to the residents and their team each and every day with a smile on their face.
I had a lovely visit with my Mother this past weekend . The grounds and common areas always look so nice. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Lunch in the Loon’s nest was delicious with a great server to make sure we had everything we need. My Mother is pleased with her independent living apartment and all the services provided. Her quote: “I landed in a great place.” Thank you to the CV staff for all you do!!
My name is Victoria Downs I arrived at cypress on February 8,2023 from hip surgery it was a bumpy transition from the hospital to here but once we all were on the same page I have to say the workers, drs, nurses have treated me with the up most care! They come from down the hall to check on me say hello! They have not once treated me like a patient but like their own family! Debbie Cooper is amazing you don’t like it tell Debbie you do like it tell Debbie a true soldier! I have a disability and me learning to walk is a complete trial I have to teach and focus with what should be easy , your therapy team does not care they say we are here for you ! My goal is health and my husband and I chose cypress because of the therapy! We know that we know God directs your paths we are so thankful we followed his direction and landed at cypress ! GOD BLESS!!
I visited a friend at CV last week, everybody in the office was delightful. When I went to leave, my car was dead. The front desk asked me to see security. Security said he has three power boxes, but were all dead. He said he had no jumper cables. When I asked another employee in the parking lot. She told me security had some in the corner of the parking lot. When I went back to security to inquire, he told me he found some in the next drawer. Never coming outside to tell me. I asked a very nice gentleman if I could have a jump. He did and I was on my way. That security guard was not helpful one bit.
I recently had a family member at Cypress Village Healthcare center. The staff was great, care was wonderful and the facility was very clean. So happy our family made this decision to go here for short term rehabilitation. I would definitely recommend!
If you are considering the skilled nursing facility at Cypress Village, I highly recommend that you find another facility. My father was at this facility for 2 months. During that time we had multiple issues which I believe all boil down to severe staffing shortages. The nursing director, Shannon, insists they are staffed above the level required by law, but every time you visit it's like a ghost town and you are lucky to get the attention of nursing or CNA staff. My father regularly had to wait one hour for someone to come to his aid after pressing the "button". The biggest reason you should avoid this facility is what I perceive as lack of proper medical care. My father developed a Stage 4 bed sore in this facility. When we we became aware of the sore based on my father's complaints of pain that went unaddressed by staff, we addressed it immediately with the unit manger, Vennetta. She responded that the wound was "superficial" and not a big concern. The nursing director, Shannon, was unresponsive to our escalations and requests that she examine the wound personally. We had my father taken to Baptist ER and they confirmed it was a Stage 4 bed sore and took immediate action to send him into surgery for debridement. Attempting to escalate matters to the health administrator, Stephanie, was completely useless. She never returned a single phone call and regularly ignored emails. I received one response via email from her and that was only after escalating to her management. At one point I had a staff member at the facility get her on the phone to see if she would meet with me about concerns I had about my father's care. She told the staff member that she would not meet with me and that I needed to "follow the chain of command." In summary, please do not place the life of your loved on in the care of this facility. My opinion is that they should not be trusted with that responsibility.
We had been working with Tanja Astwood while searching for a place for my mom. She was very informative and patient. There was no pressure to rush into something which was really helpful. Mom has been in for about a month now and is settling in nicely. The rest of the staff has been very helpful in showing her around and communicating.
