Just like all the other reviewers stated! Top notch grinder shop! Got the sausage with peppers and onions sauce cause it was simmering right in front of me. Fantastic! FYI, they do take credit cards so don't worry about the reviews that state cash only.
The best bakery and grinder shop ever! Better than jersey Mike’s subway, and any other sub shop. Everything is superb. This is a must go to bakery and grinder shop. I can’t say enough about it. Go there and try it for yourself.
D'Elia's Bakery & Grinder Shop is a true gem in the rough of Norwich. The Grinders here are amazing but what makes them truly amazing is the masterfully crafted bread that really brings these grinders to life. You need to eat here.
Great grinders like they made back in the 50s and 60s. Nobody around does it like these nice people! The bread and rolls are just right, soft inside with the perfect outer chewy crust just so. The sauce for the meatball or sausage is zesty with a kick to it. What flavor! Nobody does it like D'Elia's! Good selection of odd drinks and chips, too.
The grinder was invented in 1920. D'Elia's started serving them four years later. When you have been making a sandwich for almost 100 years, by baking your own bread and slicing the finest meats and cheeses, you make a great grinder. Be sure to watch as their assembly is artwork. Highly Recommend!
Best meatball and sausage grinder with cooked peppers and onions and cheese been having it since I was little and it amazing customer service awesome if you haven't tried them your missing out
Love their grinders. Service is excellent!
I drove by and noticed that the place is well taken care of, clean sign, when I entered I noticed everything is neat and clean. Every surface of this place is spotless and very welcoming. I got the chicken salad grinder and talked to the very kind gentleman while he was making it. It's no wonder this location has been around for 90+ years. Very good grinder sandwich. Very good service. I will be back quite often.
Visited the other day. Wendy is absolutely charming and a sweetheart; ask for Wendy by name. I requested she design me a grinder with whatever she likes on it, and it was the best I'd ever had. Ate the entire thing in their store with chips. If I come in next time and I don't see Wendy, I'ma be like, "Where's Wendy?" Then I'll buy one of their normal grinders to carry home and eat by my lonesome. Call me. edit: I didn't ask for her number so don't get all worked up.
Great sandwich to be had here. Very nice and pleasant staff.
