Wonderful restaurant for special moments and meals. Rather quaint dining area but perfect size for an intimate dining experience with someone special! We enjoyed the special crab cake appetizer and the kale beet salad. We followed with the pappardelle pasta and medallions of pork sautéed with fresh vegetables! Creative, beautiful and deliciously prepared and presented food!
Easily my top restaurant in Westport. Small and cozy, chef Pietro will wow you with his cooking. The rack of lamb was possibly the best dish I have every enjoyed. The ravioli as well in a starter size is magnificent. The staff is professional and attentive. It is a must try for anyone who loves food and appreciates quality.
This used to be our favorite restaurant but this week’s experience was very disappointing! My husband ordered the crab cakes as always for his appetizer and they were two tiny pieces with a teaspoon of sauce. My escargot was also disappointing compared to all previous visits. The Bronzino was tasteless served over One small ravioli! The filet was not the same quality and preparation as I have enjoyed so many times at this restaurant but the price was the same! The waiter had zero personality. We had to request and wait for a second dinner roll. He never returned to bring more Pellegrino as we required. We ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert which takes considerable time to prepare and usually is suggested early by the server. Since he did not offer this earlier, we waited for our dessert, which was mediocre, until the restaurant was empty. I think we were ignored because we did not order alcohol but our our bill and generous tip was over $175. A total waste of time and money. Sad to say that this restaurant which was so precious to us for many years has been removed from our list of favorites to enjoy and to recommend. We will not return.
One of the finest true Italian restaurants in the country. Anything I have ever ordered has been up there with the finest of the dish from anywhere. The service is 5and the waitress named Maria is an absolute doll. Top of the line place and all food is prepared by a true Italian gentleman , Pietro. and the kitchen is capital T tiny. You can not go wrong. Also serving lunch.just as good.
My wife and I had a date night there on a Friday night and it was fantastic. I had the scallops and mushroom rissoto while my wife had the wild salmon. We both started with crab cakes. The service was very good. We just really liked the atmosphere, it's got a New York feel to it and it was a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.
Very nice romantic little Italian Restaurant. High class service from extremely friendly staff. Wonderful food and dishes you don't normally see at other Italian Restaurants. Old world family feel, with a big smile.
The food was excellent the wait staff as well.. I highly recommend the restaurant I dine out in very nice restaurants every night, this by far is one of the best in the state. The food plates are heated the bread is hot when served there are no excuses for this restaurant Simply the Best
Pietro is the real deal. This man is an artist who uses flavors as his tools. He has been building experience since a kid. This is hands down THE BEST Italian food short of a trip to NYC, and even then I bet top chefs would struggle to compete with Pietros ability. Also, super rare wines here that you can't find elsewhere. To be clear, I worked here as a waiter and Pietro is not only a good chef, but a good man as well. Always made sure our stomachs were full. Thanks Pietro, wishing you all the best.
Pietro's food is amazing. The artichokes with olives yum, the fish just perfectly cooked and veal chops tender as can be.
the lunch was simply boring. This place used to be THE place for Italian food in the area. It is now run down and tired in appearance and taste
