Worst property managers I've seen in my life! Their house are in abysmal condition, nothing ever works, most maintenance requests are being ignored, even emergency calls that threaten severe damage to the house. When we rented from Park One, we had to fix emergency issues ourselves and the non-emergency problems were simply piling up. If you are a tenant, they will steal money from your security deposit under the most ridiculous pretenses and then ignore your attempts to contact them. If you are a property owner, prepare for your house to turn into a dilapidated mess within several years.
UPDATE: Fast forward to March 2019 and it's been almost 3 years that we've had Park One Properties helping us manage the rental and maintenance of our home. It's a pleasure working with the team and we remain quite satisfied! We had an opportunity to live and work overseas but didn't want to let go of our beloved family home so we contacted different property management companies and Park One offered the most down-to-earth and friendly service, with terms we could live with and appreciate. We had specific requirements for the rental of our home and Mike at Park One Properties really worked with us to get the right tenant. Then when emergencies arise at the house he is there to help get them solved. As property owners, it is good to know we have Park One Properties and their expert team taking care of our home, not just for the tenant but for us. Since we live almost 10,000 miles away, this is a very comforting feeling! We really appreciate Park One Properties and we are glad we found them.
Been waiting for over a month to have questions about the house I moved into in January answered. Once the deal is done I guess your no longer a priority. Have went through the app as well as contacted my agent. Zero response.. I may have made a huge mistake if something big happens.
I am a current renter at one of ParkOne properties and I have submitted a request and followed up multiple times to have our kitchen sink fixed. The original request was submitted 6/20 and it is currently 7/20 with absolutely no update or response on the issue, even after calling and texting our property manager, emailing the email on the website, and leaving 5+ voicemails with the main number on the website. We also submitted a request back in February about an issue with the shower that has never been addressed. This company, and specifically my property manager, are completely unprofessional with addressing any rental issues.
Park One managed my rental and they did not do a good job. I was a very responsible landlord for 10 years and I recently moved back to the house. This is when I realized how poor their service was and had been while I was away. First, they don't use very good contractors for repairs and they don't bother following up on the work done by those contractors. I found this out when I moved back. Second, I made it very clear when I needed to move back and gave them about 2 months notice. They dragged their feet and weren't returning calls or getting quotes for repairs so I had to do it all myself. This is why I paid their fees but I could no longer wait because I needed to move. The last tenants took very poor care of my house and when they moved out left a huge pile of garbage in my front yard and Park One left it there for nearly TWO WEEKS. They supposedly paid someone to come pick it up and all they did was put as much of it fit in my trash can and Park One billed me $300 for it!! Again, after they'd left if there for 2 weeks. I had paid for a new fence a couple of years ago and because they never bothered following up, it never got stained. So I paid for a new fence and the wood went untreated and unprotected for over 2 years just because of their poor follow up. The list goes on but you get the point. Don't use them. I've done some research and there is another company in Plano that charges less than Park One, they have very, very good reviews and they have been responsive every time I've called them. And lastly, I sent them several emails and texts before I wrote this review. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right because I don't want to be that negative person who writes an irate review. Well, it's been one month and they've done nothing so here we are. I wouldn't let them manage my rental, find me a rental or sell my house. Do your homework, there are good options out there and Park One is not one of them. UPDATE - July 10, 2019 Dan, I tried that!! Like I said, I tried for over a month to resolve this in a professional manner. I asked for a meeting in an email I sent on June 4th. I have it, I can forward it to you. But I was told you taught classes during the weekend and couldn't meet with me then and I work during the week 8-5. So after Mike told me you couldn't meet with me because you were busy he left it at that, he gave me no alternative. And I haven't heard from anyone since. And, I also haven't gotten the money I am due.
Sierra Tate works her tail off, late nights, early mornings, weekends, no matter what. She's super responsive and involved, keeping me in the loop and continuously following up. When things seemed iffy she reassured me that she would find a property that met my needs. When I decided on a property, she had my best interest in mind and in regards to her communication with the realtor, it was obvious that she had my back looking out for me. It took less than 7 days for me to meet Sierra, her find a property that I liked, show me the property, and coordinate a finalized lease with the realtor/owner. SUCH an easy and quick process that I could have done without her but wouldn't have wanted to! Sierra Tate did all the work and saved me a ton of time and effort! I'd recommend her to anyone!
I owned a home but had to move away and Park One Properties managed my property and helped me lease it out for the last 4 years. Just recently they helped me sell my house too. Overall, my experience with them has been very, very positive. Finding tenants, fixing repairs, payments, communications, etc were all accomplished in a timely manner. Throughout the 4 years, there was 1 incident that I was not pleased with and I contacted the owner of Park One. I was relieved that he took my complaint seriously and solved the problem very quickly. I truly appreciate all the hard work my property manager K. Beck - she's great! did for me over the last couple years and would definitely recommend Park One properties to any landlord looking for someone to manage their property.
The worst company ever. All these 5 star reviews are people that work for the company or their relatives. They have never lived in one of their properties. We rented for 3 years. In that time we had sewage backup 4x in which they didn't clean up, ac went out and "fixed it" by putting in 1 window unit, stove broke, rats in garage, dishwasher never worked, pipe burst and flooded a room. When that room flooded their fix was to throw the 10+ yo carpet on the front lawn to dry out and then reinstall it. Mike Beck was the absolute worst. Then they kept the deposit to replace carpet that was nasty when we moved in and trim bushes. We drove by later and they completely removed all the flowerbeds and made us pay for their lawn redecorating. I didn't even fight it, I just wanted to be done with them. Awful, horrible people.
This has been the most terrible living experience for my wife and me. We rented this home because we need more space for our soon to be born child. The problems started before we even moved in. Late to no returned communication. Things promised in the lease that weren’t available when we moved in The refrigerator,. The carpet was dirty and in terrible shape. It literally smelled of urine. We were force to clean it because they said it was already cleaned by the last tenants. There locksmith came to change the locks a month into our move and then broke the back door window by mistake. We lived with that broken window close to another month. Now only 6 months into our lease they are showing the property for sale. My wife has to deal with 2 to 4 terribly timed showings a day. She does this while juggling our babies sleep and feeding scheduling. NO PRIVICY in the place we live! Of course our account manager Kim dodges all phone calls and texts. No responses or call backs. We are paying full price to live in a revolving door of intruders 4 1/2 months before the traditional 45 days agents or owner place properties on the market. It’s even crazier because they view it and won’t buy it because it won’t be available for 5 more months. By the way the pluming is shot in the guest bathroom.
Would not recommend. Had a property in which roots were growing into the sewage line, bathroom constantly overflowed causing furniture damage, inability to invite company over, damaged property, and their was 0 concern from property management to fix issues. 2nd- poor customer service from Mike beck. Either late to respond, made inappropriate remarks with his response, or did not respond at all. 3rd- I believe they do not have a maintenance manager on contract so if something does break that is within the management companies duty to fix goodluck having it fixed. I was at a property in which Posey Properties managed and they were awesome, but it was with deep regret that I signed a new lease when park one took over as it was a tremendous drop in quality of service. Imagine not being able to have thanksgiving dinner in your home because everytime a neighbor flushed their toilet there waste entered your dining room. I have noticed that one of their listings my former place now has hardwood or vinyl floors. Well that is because it's easier to manage when the property floods which it will again as I am confident that park one looks for the easy way out of things.
