Danbury Restore
"Housatonic Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a thrift warehouse where we accept donated materials from both individuals and commercial operations, and then sell them to our shoppers at a discounted rate. The funds we raise at our ReStore go directly to fund the building of affordable homes in our community and provide free basic home repairs to elderly and veterans who are living on fixed incomes. Some of the items you will find are furniture, home décor, lighting, kitchen cabinets, windows, doors, tools and appliances."

This is not the same store I visited a few years ago. With new management in recent months and the addition of home goods, this is the new happening place to shop...often! The displays are constantly changing due to quick inventory turnover because the items are fairly priced. They are also now very active on social media so you can follow them to get alerts on new items coming in.
Always friendly and helpful! Great prices!
Nice place, some employees are very helpful, however some others are NOT. I went to pay for a piece and the “NOT so helpful” employee said the price was triple what was on the price tag. Would have been better to honor the price tag and then review pricing procedures afterwards. But no, nasty comment and nasty attitude.
Horrible experience trying to donate items. Hours are totally inconvenient for working class people. Donation hours are cutoff at 3 should be noted somewhere since I drove clear from Oxford 35 mins plus gas is now $4.50 a gallon only to be turned away at 3:50PM. Website says they close at 4. Sadly all the lights I had to donate will go to the dump since I'm unavailable to get there before 3.
Great organization providing a needed service to the community. I donated a few new and in good condition items. This location is not as large as some of their other locations so please check online what items they sell or what types of donations are acceptable. For instance, this location does not have any electronics. I was amazed at how many items were brand new and how cheaply they were selling them for. They have entire sets of matching kitchen cabinets in different styles. Contributions are accepted in the back and the staff will happily help you unload your items.
Wide variety of furniture and building supplies. Some beautiful pieces at very reasonable offices. They accept donations of like items in good condition. Stock varies and turns over fast; this is all surplus and recovered stuff. Well worth a visit. Good stuff, good cause.
I love this place, they have great stuff. Sadly the prices have gone through the roof in recent months. I was there today and heard the employee gloating about how much money this store had made. Unfortunate.
Paid cash...was not offered a receipt. While walking out the door and in the lot I was accused of shoplifting . Horable place. Horable people. Stay Away
Excellent business and donation services! This facility came right to my storage unit and picked up ALL of my donations, it filled up the truck, and were very fast and friendly! As far as the store, called Restore, I have found several items that were priced extremely well and in excellent condition! I highly recommend it for any and all of your home improvements and decor!
Love habitat for humanity restores.. great was to shop for all kinds of home goods/building supplies and furniture while being conscious about the environment. This store is a little pricy at times. I purchased a chair that had 2 price reductions I love the chair and habitat for humanity is a great cause, but even I wouldn't have paid the price they wanted originally
