Ramps have fallen into disrepair. Still a pretty fun skatepark though, still skateable. Not that much flow but you can certainly get some fun lines. Mostly vert. The fly box & the half pipes being a main attraction for this park.
Really good park for the area. We have been all over IL and I feel this is about the best outside Chicago we have seen.
I just learned how to balance on a today and it was fantastic. The park looks great. It has 2 small cliffs, about 3 medium ones, and a couple tall quarters too. Also, the best part is that there's a lot of space to practice and do what you want. I found other parks to be cramped and ramped, but this one is totally delishous, not fictitious. It's the most legit park that I've been too so far. By legit, I mean I see all types of people learning and doing tricks here.
Great park! I love how the kids are all super helpful to the others just beginning to skate. I've overheard in numerous occasions older and younger kids offer each other tips and help.
Good park for scooters and skateboards, they do not allow bikes however. Ramps were in good condition and smooth
Well maintained modular Skatelite park, well layed out on a concrete pad. Decent size and variety of structures.. the concrete could be smoother, but we have winters here. No screws sticking up! No bikes allowed here but there are two good bmx parks and tracks: one in round lake, and one at Warren Newport park district.
It's extremely easy to see the misappropriation of tax dollars here. Instead of employing a city cop to hide in the bushes to bust any bmxer who tries to ride with a ticket.... No joke, this just happened to me and my son as we pulled up the city would be better served to just lay off the one with nothing better to do and use his obviously unnecessary salary to pay for upkeep and park wear and tear that is just often falsely considered worse when bikes are allowed to ride them. This experience of mine today begins my boycott of spending any money at all in Grayslake period until the city pulls their head out of their bum and allows bikes to ride this skatepark. Any self respecting bmxer/biker would do the same. It's asinine to even create a skatepark that seeks to prevent bikes from riding. The hate on bikes is not warranted. It's just hate for hates sake. I'm just gonna avoid the whole town like the plague it is.
Such a great park for the kids to get together at. Lots of fun
Great skating place, almost nobody ever goes there, the wood is very smooth. Although the no bikes rule is kinda annoying.
The jump is extremely fun but the concrete is NOT smooth, however the wood is very smooth.
