We are so glad we chose Dannel Funeral Home to handle the arrangements for our precious Bradon. Charlie and his staff went above and beyond to support us and our wishes.From the very first meeting to the last, we were so impressed with the genuine love and concern they showed us. A sincere thank you for making this tragic time in our life much more bearable.
We were in a situation where we had no idea what was ahead of us for our family. Our mom passed away in June and we called Dannel Funeral Home because she knew Mr. Butterworth. Ended up he was the one that came to the hospital to pick the body up. In a couple of days we met with Charles Dannel. What a blessing that was. He was so kind and had such patience with us since this was our first time for us to handle business like this. The whole staff comforted us and guided us gently through the process. Little did we know in 12 days we would be back for our dad passed away as well. Once again Mr. Butterworth came to the hospital this time to pickup dad. He was so kind and made sure dad received the veteran Walk of Honor. Once again we met with them to prepare for dad's service. They worked with us to make it as easy as possible. Each employee of Dannel Funeral Home should be respected. They all show the love and kindness for their profession. Thank you Dannel Funeral Home.
Difficult decisions are not one of my strongest suites. Without my niece, Charles and his staff I would have been truly lost. I had no clue how to proceed with making arrangements for my lovely wife, Joyce. Throughout the entire funeral process from start to finish, Charles continuely strived to tailor our desires for Joyce's funeral service and burial. He and his staff focused on how to meet the needs of our combined family wishes. Words can not express how well Charles and his staff of Dannell Funeral Home took care of my family in the time of need. From begining with making arrangements to the day of the funeral, Charles got to know our family quite well which made the entire funeral celebration of life a spectular experience. I lost my mom and had no idea what funeral home to use since I was not from the Sherman area. We went in and spoke with Charles and immediately felt at home. He treated us with the utmost respect and my mom looked beautiful at her service. They gave us all the time we needed to have our service. We had a few family members that were late and they didn’t pressure us to stay on a tight schedule. The catered food was delicious. I would highly recommended Dannel Funeral Home. I feel like we made a friend of Charles, not just a business transaction. I think Heavenly Father puts people in your life when you need them. He definitely put Charles in our life when we needed him. Thank you Dannel Funeral Home for your loving treatment.
When we first met, Charles & Walt made my son and me comfortable as we went over details for my husband's service. You were so kind and helpful as you answered our questions. We knew that everything would be taken care of, and it was. Wayne's service was beautiful. Thank you very much!
I just wanted to thank the staff at Dannel Funeral Home for all your help with the passing of my Dad. Y'all it's 3 Daughters and a Mom. It's hard enough to keep one woman happy, much less 4. Charles did just that with Grace and Respect. I am very grateful for all the help navigating the complexities involved.
My mother passed away recently and even though she was quite ill; you are never ready for the loss of a loved one. I want to express my deepest gratitude and thanks to Dannel Funeral Home. Charles Dannel and the wonderful team assembled there, provided my family the finest support, and guided us through every detail of her service, as I made plans to lay my mother to rest. They were professional, compassionate, gracious, warm, and understanding of our grief. Every detail was just as important to Charles and the staff as it was to us, the family. Each staff person I encountered provided the same level of quality care as I made her funeral service arrangements and on the day of the service they were right there continuing to care for us. One of the saddest occasions was cushioned by their high level of care and concern that everything be done just as we requested. We had all our questions thoroughly answered. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping us through this process. I remain comforted to know that Dannel Funeral Home and their staff serve in the Sherman and Grayson County community. in December of 2019 I bought a funeral plan with Dannel Funeral home. I felt that everyone treated me with the most respect they could not have been any nicer. I was shown all my options, and never felt like I was pressured to purchase anything I didn't want . When my husband passed in June their professionalism really shone through. they provided us with a beautiful service, and i didn't have to do a thing. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, and definately would use them again,
My family has used Dannel for many family members in the past, but this is the first time I was personally responsible for making arrangements. The staff was caring, and considerate with every contact. I did not feel pressured to do anything I did not want to do, and they did a beautiful job with the conservative wishes of my family. They did offer some suggestions that made the memorial sweeter than I imagined it could be. Their attention to detail is remarkable. My family will continue to use them in the future, and we are grateful for the personal service we received.
