The guy who runs the place is nice. The corner to the back of the register has a couple of parrots, but keep your fingers away. This is a great place to get vintage mechanical pencils such as the sharplet-2 or sharplet-300, as well as the platinum Dr grip, technoclic similar to Pentel orenz nero or graphlet pg-30x, it would be nice to see the premium pg50x to show up there as well as some different lead sizes, there is only 0.5 and 0.7 and no refills there, so that would be nice to see change. the guy who works there knows me as the mechanical pencil kid. Great little store, lot of history. My dad even went there as a kid. EDIT: full lead type refill, different lead grades, 2.0mm, colored. Also, Pentel sharp.
AMAZING. It has everything you could possibly imagine- birthday cards, crossword puzzles, decorations, school supplies, and so many Knick knacks. The blast from the past feeling of being in there is so real and the owner is one of a kind! Knowledgeable, kind, and a true piece of Darien’s history!
