This little diner in a strip mall near the Villages offers good diner food, breakfast and lunch, at reasonable prices. They even have outdoor seating. The coffee and food was good. The servers were excellent. But there were so many flies while we were there… I saw at least four at one time. Made me lose my appetite. Maybe this isn’t a regular issue, but I don’t know, and I won’t go back to find out. Wheelchair accessibility: Noted customer in wheelchair able to use bathroom.

Darrell's on Bichara Blvd, The Villages Lady Lake FL. This is one of a local chain restaurant. I have only ever gone to this particular restaurant but they all have similar menus. I believe only the specials, especially their soup of the day, may be different. All of their restaurants are open from 6am to 3pm, seven days a week. Having said all that, we -a party of five- arrived at the restaurant at 10:45am. They were very busy even at this, late for breakfast, early for lunch time, so instead of waiting for an indoor table , we opted to sit outside. Our wait staff was Desiree, one of their great assets. She greeted us and said that although it was now 11:02am, she would honor the breakfast specials that ended at 11:00am because she noted it took a while for us to get seated. She took our drink orders and left us with menus. Three of us went with breakfast and two with lunch. They have standard breakfast fare -eggs, breakfast meat, home fries, grits or hash browns and toast. The special includes a beverage. Also shown is an omelete. The two lunch orders were a Sunshine Burger. A hamburger with hash browns on the bottom, a burger, bacon and a sunny side up fried egg on top, all on a nice brioche bun. It came with one side, the option shown was potato salad. Also shown is a wrap, grilled, with fries. As I said the service here has always been great and so is the food. The wait staff, pleasant and efficient. Desiree checked on us often even though we were outside and literally around the corner of the building. Nice touches, like she brought extra hot water for my tea without being asked which was wonderful. I have always found the restaurant clean, inside and out. They are handicapped accessible. But they only have one unisex bathroom. They are in La Plaza Grande South plaza which makes for easy parking but it cannot be seen from the road. This is a large plaza and they are located near the middle. The sign is large enough to see, so that helps. A pleasant meal was had here.

So sorry we tried this place Husbands first set of eggs should have been basted…literally came out burnt on the underside with hard yolks. Hash browns were ordered extra crispy… warm and barely brown. Sent eggs back… basted eggs now came out loose and watery. Server said she would take them off the bill… refunded us $.57!!! My pancakes were burnt and scrambled eggs were like rubber. I would give zero stars if I could, but they have definitely lost us as customers!

It's crazy people are complaining the ac is too cold! That's crazy, it's 100 degrees outside!!! We had Philly cheese steaks, they came out banging and super hot, and fast! Waitress was so attentive!! My sister n law and I work in restaurants, I'm front of the house and she is back, in different places, so we know what food should look and taste like!!we will be there Sunday for more great Phillies ans service! Bty, who gets a basted egg? Go back up north to get that!

Absolutely awful!! The food was not cooked fully, restaurant was filthy, the ac was too cold EVERY CUSTOMER COMPLAINED, and the waitress was so busy telling her coworker about her previous night out at the bar that she couldn't check on us. Don't waste your time or money here! There are way better places to eat around here.Food: 1/5

Went back to one of our favorite breakfast places on May 16. Haven't been there for the snowbird season. Oh no, what happened? The corned beef hash was totally burned, the chili on my omelet was water, had to send it all back. New cook? The worst ever. They lost us!

My wife and I have tried two other locations in Ocala and stopped going to Darrell's diner due to lack of consistency in the kitchen. The only thing that's consistent between all the locations is all the food always tastes like they just literally open up the door in the morning grab somebody that slept in a tent outside the restaurant and bring them into do everybody's breakfast. We're done trying to eat at this restaurant. Ordered a chef salad and got a couple of slabs of meat over the top of lettuce.. this place needs an entire rehab from the ground up whoever's managing all of these Darrell's diners needs to go back to the drawing board these cooks that you have are absolutely not cutting it and we're done trying to eat there...bye

Terrible!!! Unconscionable scam! They bring you a reciept with an additional charge if you don't pay cash. BUT here's the scam: to save money the three of us handed the waitress our bills and cash. She comes back and says,"We don't have any cash to give you change so...long story short my terrible tasteless cup of coffee cost me $5.00!
