I have given my business to Dave's for 15 years now, and on a VERY regular basis-at least once or twice a month...sometimes even more often. They have NEVER let me down. Excellent choice of vehicles, excellent service and care. There is simply no need for me to go elsewhere! Do yourself a favor, give them a try!
From the first phone call to bringing the rental van back, I was treated with respect and a super friendly manner. Dave's son did the paperwork and was a very humorous friendly person. We got a Toyota Siena van brand new off the truck and it performed flawlessly. I will definitely be giving them All my rental car needs in the future.
Have rented RV's from Dave's several times. Both the pick up and drop off events were a very pleasant experience. Great staff. Cleanliness and Service of the RV's was always impecable. And always not more than 2 year old equipment. I'd prefer not giving such a great review so we can keep Dave's to ourselves but hey, you can't keep a good thing wrapped up forever. So I'm sharing my honest opinion about my personal experiences. All of which I've summed up for all. Enjoy!!
Make sure you actually receive the rate quoted when you rent from Dave's. I called Dave's to rent a cargo van to move some boxes and was quoted a weekend rate of $63 a day with a 100 mile limit and .30 for each additional mile. It was a bit more expensive then UHaul but I was willing to pay a bit more since the van would be easier to drive. My actual bill for the weekend from Dave's was $227.61 for the rental. This is partially my fault for not reading the contract I signed -- I assumed I was paying $63 per day. The people at Dave's are very nice and helpful and I was shocked that did not respond when I told them I was quoted one rate and charged another.
Outstanding, quick Customer Service. I rented a car from Dave's because my car needed some repairs. My insurance allowed for a certain amount per day for the car. I called and reserved a small car Toyota Corolla, and when I arrived a couple of days later, the Corolla hadn't been returned yet so they let me rent a Toyota Rav 4 for the same price as the Corolla. They first told me that I may need to swap out the Rav 4 for the Corolla during the week. They first called me and asked me to make the switch and then decided to let me keep it for the whole week!!! Awesome service and super nice people. I will always rent from here and skip the giant rental companies. Thanks for the great customer service, Dave's!!!
had an excellent experience with Dave. I wanted to pick up my girlfriend from the airport in something stylish and tour through Amador and see my parents. I was initially looking near the airport at hertz and enterprise for a convertible or something fun and was surprised to find that Dave's was far better price for a far better car, even with hertz having a AAA discount. I got the BMW 335 coupe with AWD for a very competitive price and couldn't be happier with all the details that made for an all around great experience, both with the car and with the service. examples were how the car was very clean and felt new even with 30k. Dave went out of his way to be friendly and though I used a debit card only held reasonable deposit. my insurance transferred over so that kept costs down, and he didn't try to sell me anything else. I went over the mileage allowance and he didn't charge me much for it, and I even forgot to fill the tank before returning it and he charged me market value of the fuel Hertz or enterprise would have reamed me, been there was out the door fast and returning it was very quick. It was overall a very positive experience and would rent with Dave's again anytime. Now I want to buy that beamer, it ruined me for my own car :
The 1st time we rented from Dave's was in 1998. Our son was graduating from HS. When he found out his share of the cost of a Limo we checked out Dave's. Our son rented a new Camero convertible!! He was THE hit for far less than his portion of the limo. We have rented van's, sedans etc. over the years very happily. Cars; excellent, customer service; excellent, pricing always fair.
I absolutly loved the service and peace of mind they had a last minute rental available which made my weekend. I just wish they could do the unlimited miles i will defiantly rent again from them because they made it stress free. But i will just make sure of my miles next time. But thanl you entire team for going beyond to make it a easy weekend.
