Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve is home to over 2,500 acres of DeKalb County green space. The preserve features mixed and hardwood forests, wetlands, lakes, S. River, Arabia Mountain, the PATH multi-use trail and miles of natural trails.
DeKalb County has designated Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve as a major resource park, as defined in the DeKalb County Open Space Study of 1980. In accordance with this designation, DeKalb County will manage Davidson-Arabia Mountain Preserve:
1. To preserve its natural systems, its feeling of wildness, and its cultural history.
2. To promote environmental and cultural education;
3. To provide opportunities for research and other visitor uses that are compatible with and dependent upon the unique characteristics of the Nature Preserve; and
4. To provide public outdoor recreational experiences wich is compatible with the above points.
