We took our dog in and they told us she has cancer and that she doesn’t have much longer..so we brought her home and have been spoiling her because she only had a couple of months left..after 4 months We decided to take her to another vet to have her checked. While yes, she does have cancer and this vet took the time to explain things to us and to go out of their way to let us know that we do have options and there so much we can do to preserve her life and she can be with us for at least another year. There was no way that the doctors at Day Creek or any vet hospital could have known if her cancer was as aggressive as they had told us it was..without removing the whole tumor and having it tested! Day creek only did a needle aspersions My husband said the last time he took her to Day Creek that they weren’t caring at all and he felt it was because she’s a pit bull! Our new vet took the time to call us answer all our questions and get us the number for oncology and gave us a menu that will help her cancer and reduce the swelling.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DAY CREEK IF YOU HAVE A PIT BULL!
I have been taking my dog Iris here for about 2 years now and I love the staff. Everyone is extremely nice and understanding. They helped me out a lot with trying to find solutions to pay for my dog's procedure. Overall, I love it and I will continue taking my dog here.
Loved this place the first few times I went but have had nothing but problems the past few months. Currently going on a month of back and forth communication for medication because of laziness. The first script didn't have half the information filled out. Second attempt didn't have the refill quantity filled out stillwhich is 0. Now the third party we had to contact to get the prescription is canceling the order because they haven't heard from Day Creek to confirm the prescription. Not disputed, not unavailable, simply ignoring communication. After calling to emphasize the problem, we were told the doctor is out today... so we're going to have to start all over. Mistakes happen, but this is a complete lack of effort.
Booker T, my 12 month 94lbs reactive to people and other animals cane corso fur baby has the terrible misfortune to have cherry eye. Right now I think I am WAY more bothered by it than he is because I have become "that mom" that worriedly calls about everything. The ENTIRE staff and doctors have literally gone out of their way to be accommodating to my numerous text messages and our office visits. At our first visit they understood Booker's reactivity and graciously cleared the lobby of people and pets so we could walk in, weigh him and go straight into the exam room. At our next visit, now this is what I thought was A-MAZING..., the doctor and staff actually came outside of the hospital, where Booker was more comfortable, to perform his initial exam. The staff helped to distract him while the doctor did a quick assessment. They then allowed him to wait in my jeep where they gave him a sedative to help calm him so he could come into the clinic and have his blood drawn for labs for his upcoming surgery. I had NO idea that the sedative would completely make him loose the ability to stand or lift his head. It was tough to see him on the exam floor with his multiple useless attempts to stand. Soooo again, they exercised grace and compassion and allowed us to take him back into my jeep, where he was more familiar with the environment, to wait until the sedative wore off. The vet tech came out and checked on him several times to make certain he was okay. And... the doctor came outside to my jeep to exam him once more before clearing him to go home. I know this is a loooong review, but, I wanted to share how accommodating this animal hospital team is. Would I recommend them to family, friends, and the Google community... Absolutely YES, I would.
Great place to take your pets. The vet here is very loving to animals. All of our pets and rescues love him. I had to put my 21 year old golden cocker spaniel to sleep and he was very caring and loving towards my special pup.
This is my second trip to daycreek animal hospital. I took my cat Ginger There because she had. Something? In her eye.. I watched her and she didn't open that eye for 5 days on the 5th day. I said I have to take her to the vet to get looked at. She's not getting any better.. The staff was excellent. Now the doctor on the other hand is beyond excellent. I have not seen a doctor that Good in many years.. He knew exactly what was wrong with that cat before he Seen her.. He was already prepared with what he needed and I watched him in. Amazement pull out a large Fox tail from under her eyelid He knew that fox tail was there. He is very. Expierianced 25 years he said. I have to keep going back.. Price, well first Of all he went to school to be a doctor so he deserves to be paid. Charges were reasonable. I have 8 cats so i just found my new go to place for petcare. The best thing about it is Ginger is not gonna be blind in one eye. There's my little cat right now. I highly Recommend the day Creek animal hospital. I used to take my cats to Rialto animal hospital and I just found one. I believe is as good as they are.....maybe better. I called daycreek told them what my problem was. They told me to come in at 2 o'clock which would never happen in Rialto And I got a same day appointment and a new veterinarian all-in-one phone call wonderful people. Take your Pets here they take good care of you And your pets.. Thank you doctor very much. From Ginger and myself you guys are great. Eric Johnson
Very friendly staff that welcomed new patients on a Sunday night emergency call. Veterinarian is very thorough and compassionate. Office is very clean and plenty of parking.
I would not highly recommend this place. First time wasn’t enough to know if we made the right decision coming to this vet. Second time was not a good experience. My wife brought in our French bulldog for up to date shots. They took our dog to the back & stuck a rectal thermometer inside her. I heard my pet making loud noises. Probably due to her discomfort or pain. Mind you she’s not even a year old. It was very upsetting to hear the lady who was attending to our dog bring her out and say & refer to her as “such a drama queen”. Really? Not sure why they would emphasize on their page that they truly care about your animal because they are your family & know how important they are to you. I didn’t sense or get a feel of compassion towards my pet. But a total lack of regard to her overall well being and experience. For the simple fact my pet is my family. I will say in this case one bad apple ruined the bunch for me. I will not be coming back to this vet.
I had to make the difficult choice to avoid prolonging the suffering of my elderly little puppers. The entire team showed deep care and compassion for my little Chica. Dr LeClair took the time to walk me through the options and offered ways improve the quality of life in her final days so we can say goodbye. Due to the restrictions of social distancing the staff did an outstanding job of still making people feel welcome and comfortable by providing service at the car. Thank you to everyone at the Day Creek Animal Hospital for making this a little easier to process.
