The location of the hotel was convenient and you didn’t have to worry about city traffic. The staff was friendly and they get 5 stars. The entrance to the hotel is a little odd. When you enter, the floor declines and then you have to go up three steps, which is slightly inconvenient when you have luggage. The room smelled like smoke when we first entered. The water pressure in the shower was great and has an adjustable rain shower head but there is no wall for the back half of the shower, which causes water to spill onto the floor.
The renovations that I've heard about and the price led me here for a night's stay. It was a great experience! My room was updated and it was good for the night. The bathroom was nice, the floors were clean, and sleeping in the bed was alright. Breakfast was decent too with some options to start off your day like yogurt, juice, bread, etc. The staff was incredibly friendly I must say and if they overheard something was wrong in a conversation I was having they fixed it immediately. This was a great place, especially on July 3-4, with its low prices and good experience.
I'm not the type of person to give ruthless negative reviews. But I had a horrible experience in this place. 1- Place looks old and dirty. 2- The complementary breakfast is basically close to nothing. 3- I tried coffee from the coffee brew in the breakfast area and it was kind of sour. I'm happy that I didn't get poisoned. 4- When I checked in, there was a running remodeling of some rooms, however, almost all rooms in all 3 floors were empty, but the front desk gave us the key to the room which was in front of one of under remodeling units. Form 8am till 5pm, workers were using hammers, drills and making all kind of noises. If you taught that was all, you are wrong, cause workers had a big speaker with them playing music and singing loudly. Again, I hate to give negative reviews, but believe me, words cannot describe what a horrible experience we had in this hotel.
One of my favorite places to stay! It always feels like home. The staff is always courteous and extremely helpful. The WIFI wasn't working at first, but the customer service person kept trying to help us and then reset the entire network to make sure we could connect--and we did. The room was neat and clean. I'm thrilled the entire hotel took on a No Smoking Policy! I think someone was smoking next door to us because the bathroom began to smell like smoke. It was very unpleasant! Fortunately, I think that person was caught and was penalized by losing their deposit. Thank you Hartford Days Inn for always welcoming my family and going above and beyond to ensure we have a pleasant, comfortable stay! See you soon. :
The whole premise and our room smelled like smoke. Our room was not the cleanest - there were a couple suspicious stains on the walls, and dirt around the rim of the shower. On top of that, I think there may have been fleas or some other pests in our room. We went to sleep and I woke up with lots of bites around my feet and ankles. However, the person at the front desk when we left was very kind and accommodating. If we visit Hartford again, we will likely find another place to stay.
We had to book a hotel room at this Days Inn last minute because the Airbnb we had wasn’t safe. The hotel is shabby and the check-in area is encased in glass giving it an ‘unsafe location’ vibe. The hallway smelled like poop, and our room started reeking of weed pretty soon after we got there. The smell was worse in the bathroom where we expect it was coming in through the vents. The bedding was stained and there is a dirty towel rolled up on the floor of the bathroom between the toilet and the shower. My main issue is the smell as it prevented me from getting good sleep, and I am worrying the smell is getting into all my clothes and making them reek too. The room had a big screen tv and mini refrigerator and microwave, and those are pretty nice. The room was also relatively quiet and I only really heard other guests when they walked by our room. This smell is making me feel sick though, and that is unacceptable.
Very clean hotel so if you need a good place to rest while away from home a fairly good choice, the bathroom sink is outside the bathroom but that worked out because its a great open area to do your makeup. Ensure to bring all you own toiletries, thank goodness i did because they werent even usable but they made cute decorations. All in all I would visit again.
The staff was very polite and courteous, especially Bobby. He went above and beyond to make my boyfriend and I feel welcome and comfortable. Building and room was clean and organized. We would DEFINITELY stay again.Rooms: 4/5
My family stayed here recently while my brother was in Hartford Hospital with covid and pneumonia. From the absolute very beginning the service we experienced was some of the very best service I've ever experienced at a hotel. There were days that we had to rush to the hospital when we got bad news, and there were nights when we got back late. We were accommodated like I've never seen before. Omar at the front desk was the most compassionate, caring, and understanding person I've met in years. The mendez/melendez family would like to personally thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the exceptional, courteous and professional treatment to our family while we stayed at the hotel. Unfortunately my brother passed away while we were there. But I'll never forget how great you treated my family!!!
Nothing makes you feel more welcomed then walking thru the front door and seeing 1 inch bullet proof glass along with the welcoming aroma of marijuana. The parking lot is a bit sketchy parking at night. The hallway carpet is very outdated. As for the room, I was satisfied with the size and decor. It did have a few flaws in the maintenance and cleanliness. Suprising very quiet, the rooms door does a great blocking out all noises. -outlet cover messing -tape on floor separating carpet and tile -bathroom ceiling fan covered in dust Overall. Good room for the price. Right off the highway.
