Went In this morning with chest pain and a racing heart. I was so scared because I had an ablation for svt last April so I do have heart issues. I was so afraid that I was dying of a heart attack. They got me in immediately and the doctor was so kind and explained and showed me everything. At first I was a little upset because I didn’t realize they were separate from Deborah and all my medical stuff is there. But the nurses and doctors and all of the staff were fast and caring. The doctor stood in the room talking to me longer than any doctor ever has. Probably the best emergency dept I’ve ever been to. I also have to say they’re very educated as far as mental health issues. I have severe anxiety and panic attacks and they took their time to talk with me about that as well. They were seriously the sweetest most kind and caring people I’ve ever met in my whole life. So although I accidentally went to the wrong place it was a happy accident. Thank you for taking care of me and treating me like a person.
Took 4 and a half hours just to get 5 stitches, and there was only one doctor. Deborah needs to staff there emergency room better. They didn’t even check on the cut for about 3 hours of us being there. Would not recommend.
Edit: I included my xray, the one that was taken at the ER. It shows the break. Stevie wonder could see it. Went here last night with a swollen foot. They took xrays and said it definitely wasn't broken. Went to ortho dr this morning, you can see the break clear as day on the xray I got from the ER! I will NEVER go back. If they can't see a broken bone on an xray thats clear as day, I'd rather travel further to get better care.
My daughter came in tonight and I could not have had a better experience! The staff was very attentive and kind to her. She was super scared and the nurse went above and beyond. She treated my daughter as if she were hers. She even saved part of her dinner to give to my daughter because she was hungry and due to testing was not allowed to eat! She gave my daughter a stuffed animal and truly was amazing. The other staff was super as well. The doctor explained items in mom terms so I knew what was happening. The staff who took her for a Cat scan was so kind- they explained everything to her and put her at ease. They took a scared mom and daughter and made us feel like we were with family! I am forever grateful!
You say these messages are to help you improve your you can’t improve unless you get rid of lazy grumpy nurses/doctors. They act like we the people need them. When in fact the doctors need us as patients. I went in for anxiety and they ran a whole blood panel. I had inference and they didn’t run it so now I’m stuck with a 2000 bill that I am NOT Paying back. If you go to a restaurant and it’s extremely horrible, do you pay? Because I sure don’t. I talk to the manager and get a new plate or leave. Furthermore I have panic disorder and post with sleep paralysis. What do they do? They treat me like a drug addict. I’ve need to Iraq and Afghanistan and this is how they treat your patients. Same one you To the whole staff because we all know $h!t rolls down hill So it starts at the top. Your workers are a reflection of you supervisors and managers.
It was such a terrible experience at the Capital Health at Deborah ER hospital. Not only did we have to wait for 4 HOURS while EXTREMELY dehydrated due to food poisoning. We come across two unprofessional, insensitive, rude, noncompliant healthcare staff. One being Dr Pamela Maisey. Not only was she rude to the patient, concerned family member, and fiance whom all wanted to know diagnosis of the visit with permission. She did not greet us and seemed as if we were a burdened - thus quickly dismissed up without any proper treatment of IV for dehydration. If I could could give this doctor and an unnamed nurse zero stars, I would!
Undoubtedly the best experience I've ever had at an emergency room, from being greeted and checked in by the security guard at the door, to the kind and very efficient treatment by the nurses and med techs, to the evaluation and explanation of my issue provided by two doctors. I was examined, had an EKG, lab tests, and X-rays, received a diagnosis and arrangements for follow up care all in three hours. All in all, a well-run emergency department staffed by professional and caring people.
I see some bad reviews of this ER and I have to say that I've only ever had good experience here. I've been here by myself and have been here with my whole family. The staff is always caring and knowledgeable and I've never had to wait terribly long to be seen. I would say the longest I've waited to be seen is probably 30 minutes. While no one likes visiting an ER, I like this place and I'm fortunate it's here. Thank You!!
i got there last night about 8:45 and almost immediately went to the back. by the time everything was done i was out of there by 10:15! my nurse was absolutely amazing!! she was very quick, had amazing bed side manor& seems like she genuinely cared! the doctor was quick, listened very thoroughly& also seemed to actually care! Overall amazing visit at capital health !
I was well taken care of and got the help I needed. Everyone was so nice and treated me with care and explained everything they were doing and made me less anxious. I appreciate it!
