We stayed here for a week in October 2022. Very impressed with this park overall. Nice spacious dog park, decent playground, and a nice pool, though it was obviously closed at the time of the year when we visited. Sites are large and spacious, people are friendly, packages are allowed, and shower and laundry building is nice as well. Some ideas for improvement: turns onto interior roads are a bit tight, we had to remove from stakes and go a bit into the grass to make a turn with our large rig; water would be nice in the dog park for the dogs, and an online reservation system. Also, don't miss the BBQ from Lonnie's nearby restaurant- just go early, they sell out fast! Update: We stayed here again in June of 2023 on our way back out west. This was supposed to be a one night overnight stop, but my wife had to go to the ER with acute pancreatitis, and ended up being hospitalized for a week. The staff at Deer Creek Valley RV Park were extremely accommodating at a time when we were under considerable stress. They moved some things around to ensure that we could not only extend our stay for the time she was in the hospital, but they made it so we didn't have to change campsites and even allowed us time after her surgery for recovery. Extremely grateful to the staff for their flexibility!
We had an amazing experience on an overnight stay. We came in late and they text us the gate code and easy to follow instructions for finding our spot. The facilities were very clean. The most appreciated touch was how kind they were! From the first voice I heard calling to make my reservation to the manager keeping the pool open for an extra 30 minutes so we could take a dip after a long trip. I felt like a part of a community not a customer.
The cleanest grounds. No trees. Nobody enjoying the outdoors, like sitting outside. Washrooms were plenty but not so clean. A little dark and echoey. Probably like showering in a prison. For a woman, I didn’t feel comfortable alone in the bathroom. A very nice large dog park. Easy from the highway.
If you're in the area and need a place to recharge for a day or few, this is the place. It's a parking lot campground, but the sites are large, level concrete sites with well maintained grass around your site. The entire place is kept clean and long term residents take pride in their sites. Dog park is huge. Pool area is very nice. Very quiet and relaxing. My favorite part is for a small fee they will let you wash your camper and vehicle on site. They appreciate the value in our rigs.
This was the nicest RV park we stayed at along our way to Denver. It was very clean. The sites were level. There was grass next to your RV pad you’d be surprised how many RV parks have no grass or its not close to your RV. The owners/manager were very helpful. We would have stayed longer but we had a plan. The only compliant is that there is not a store in the office. We will definitely come back.
A pleasant surprise! You'll be hard pressed to find an RV park as neat and tidy as this one. Wide swaths of concrete everywhere looks like a small airport! with lush grass interspersed that our dogs love. The bath house is bunkhouse basic but very clean. Just don't try to eat out on a Sunday night! It's an exceptional place to recharge for a few days before heading out again.
Great RV park, Big Concrete pads, all Hookups on a nice pedestal. Grass all around. Clean Bathrooms & Showers, Nice Pool. Great laundry facility. Awesome BBQ place out front. Gates lock and close at night. Very Nice staff.
Great park, really! We were headed north to Michigan and Topeka was on our route. We had traveled for several days and wanted a place to rest for a bit. This park was well planned and spared no expense with what matters. Like wide concrete inner roads, spacious long concrete sites, excellent drainage we witnessed during and after a storm, spacious separation between sites, gated, beautifully landscaped with lots of green spaces, and one of the nicest well kept dog parks we’ve seen. We especially enjoyed Shawnee Lake/Park within 5 minutes drive that has at least 10 miles of trails for biking or walking. Rates were fair. We will return. AND we did return for a week in October 2022. Still a great park.
Easy access. Wide drives with easy turn ins. Wide and long pads. Nice distance between sites that was grass. Playground for kids, dog run, horseshoes, several good fields to toss your discs. All well kept. If you need a place near Topeka, look no further.
We have had our Motorhome for 3 1/2 years. This RV Park ranks in the top 3 of our favorite parks. Most are large pull thru sites and a few back in’s. All are level and concrete pads with full service, 50 amp, sewer, water. Park has a pool and a playground with clean nice restrooms. The staff was very nice and helpful. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RV PARK fir anyone staying in the area.
