NEIGHBORFEST!! A great event for the community with Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church and the Deer Park Neighborhood Association. Hamburgers, hot dogs, cotton candy, sno cones, iced tea, pony rids, bubbles, a fire truck from LMFD, games, face painting and great music. A free annual event, well worth the time!
I just went there for the food pantry. I met a very nice person, Greg. If he's an example of the people there, it is a very good, christian church to attend.
It's a good place. I give them money sometimes when I can and they let me have coffee and donuts. Every once in awhile I even play a little piano and they even have other things that go on their like church services. They seem like a good glorious group of fine people. I'm going to try to keep going. I even just texted my mom, asked her if she and my dad would wanna maybe go there tomorrow, you know, for coffee with me and maybe who ever else might be there. My mom, she's sixty-five, my dad, older than that. They live in Indiana, they don't like to out much, maybe tomorrow though they will, together, who knows though. Anyways, like I said, it's a good place, I like it there and perhaps my folks will be able to make it out without having problems with construction in town. This city and their part of town their they're in. Who knows tho, they might not be able to. They might not be able to not because they're old, maybe just not because they don't want to, if that's the case, oh well, at least I asked, you know, with a text, either way, I'll try to even go again, alone... Even if they do decide to go.
Totally biased opinion. Not a member but my parents church and my grandfather use to be the pastor. They are good people trying to do good things. If you are in the market for a new church that's not flashy, go give them a Sunday or two.
Free food came right on time for the community after the storm.
Kind people, for the most part, bit misled. They practice nonscriptual Roman Catholic observances - Lent, burning palm branches for ashes, just to name a few. They sponsor Muslim immigrants to Louisville, which is not scriptural. One of their deacons states the Bible is not the inerrant word of God, so I guess I should not have been surprised.
You can feel the genuineness in the people there. Glad to have the experience of crossing paths with such sincere God fearing, Jesus loving people and environment.
It Church I go to I enjoy been then, I love sunday teacher and paster Ilove my church.
Love them nice loving people
