MISSION
The mission of the Delgado Community College Honors Program is to devise and deliver in-class and extracurricular academic experiences that provide a distinctive learning environment for selected students* The Honors Program provides opportunities for measurably broader, deeper, and more complex learning-centered and learner-directed experiences for its students than are available elsewhere in the institution. The honors community is composed of carefully selected teachers and students who form a cross- or multi-disciplinary cohort dedicated to achieving exceptional learning and personal standards.

*SELECTION CRITERIA
To enter the DCC Honors Program, students must have at least ONE of the following:
3.0/4 GPA at Delgado or another college
ACT 22 or SAT 1100 or higher
High school GPA of 3.5/4 or higher
Evidence of exceptional leadership or service
*GRADUATION CRITERIA
To graduate in the DCC Honors Program, students must have ALL of the following:
3.4/4 cumulative GPA
15 credit hours of Honors courses
HUMA 150 Structure of Western Thought: Ancient Greece (included in the 15 hours)
