The Pharmacy Technician Program offers a CTS. Pre-requisites are offered all semesters. Program classes begin Fall and Spring.
The Pharmacy Technician program at Delgado Community College has been accredited since 2003. The program currently offers a certificate of technical studies in Pharmacy Technician. The program is two semesters - with new classes starting in the Fall and Spring. Prerequisite courses are taught Fall/Spring/Summer. Class size is 15-18 students.
Our students have achieved a 97% pass rate on the PTCE and 93% of graduates are working in a pharmacy within 1 month of completion.
MISSION:
The mission of the Pharmacy Technician (PHAR) program is to provide academic and clinical education that will prepare the student to perform all duties and responsibilities with attention to detail and professionalism.
To prepare well informed, well trained individuals that will provide exemplary care and customer service in the execution of their para-profession. To train para-professionals that are mindful of the ethical standard expected of the Pharmacy profession and all those associated with the profession.
