We love this dentist office. All my family goes to see Dr. Ramgopal and staff. They are always kind and happy to see patients. Appointments are easy to move around if you have a busy schedule like me.
I was reading the reviews and I noticed another 1 star review was given by a patient with the exact same experience as me. I went for an annual dental cleaning. I was suggested to get a deep cleaning which most dentists do and I said I will think about it. Then they took X-rays for my teeth and when I asked if its mandatory, they said yes. The nurse put something in my mouth to bite on to take the X-rays and I noticed that she was putting it on the table, anywhere she likes and without sanitizing, she put it in my mouth, when I asked if it's clean, she said it is sanitized which bummed me. Later, I was charged a Pre-PPE fee, I didn't know what it was and later called about it. They said it is for covid PPE where the nurse was not even wearing PPE and only a mask. They refunded the fee when I asked. When I got my explanation of benefits. I saw a charge for occlusal adjustment which was not done to me. I called their office and they said it was charged just for checkup and I don't need to pay the co-pay. Seems like they wanted to charge the insurance for no reason. I saw many red flags at the office, while the doctor did a good job cleaning, I feel this business is not ethical. I won't recommend this to anyone. And yes, few 5* ratings are given by their own staff.
Review for Dr. Lakshmi Ramgopal's Dental Clinic: Having been under the expert care of Dr. Lakshmi Ramgopal for the past 15 years, I can confidently attest to her exceptional proficiency in dental health. Not only has she remarkably improved the state of my teeth and gums, but her commitment and attention to detail have never wavered. A special shoutout to Fariba for her relentless dedication and the fantastic administrative team that ensures a smooth and pleasant experience every visit. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking top-tier dental care.
Not so good post experience. I went to the office for a regular annual checkup. They recommended a deep cleaning later on, I scheduled an appointment for the same and paid $100 in advance. I talked to another dentist and they said deep cleaning is not needed, based on that I immediately called Dr.Lakshmi's office to cancel the scheduled appointment. It's been a little over 2 weeks and I didn't receive the refund. Interestingly, when I received EOB explanation of benefits that the office claimed using my insurance details, they had two claims, one of which showed multiple entries with the same procedure codes, who would do prophylaxis two times on the same day? And also two entries for fluoride treatment which I did not go through at all. The second claim says occlusal adjustment which I did not go through as well and it says I need to pay for it. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I just went in for a general annual checkup and now I need to go through all this hassle with insurance back and forth to fix these things. Please look out for other dental offices to avoid this kind of stuff. And one another important thing I noticed 2-3 out of 9 reviews that the office has are within their employees itself to boost their rating I know exactly which reviews they are, don't want to point them out here

Dr. Ramgopal has been my dentist ever since I moved to the South Bay 8 years ago. She quickly identified and addressed many real issues with my dental health. She exercises good judgement when about the seriousness of issues and takes the time to educate me on them. The office staff receptionist, billing, hygienist are very friendly and make you feel welcomed at all times. The front-desk staff have been able to accommodate some of my last minute schedule changes by working with me on options. Highly recommended.
I actually look forward to going to my check ups at this office. There is never a wait, they take you right in. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcomed. Dr. Ramgopal is so gentle and informative. She explains the treatment step by step and make sure you are not in any discomfort during the appointmnet. I have recommended all my family, friends and co-workers there and they are all so pleased!
I have been a patient of Dr. Ramgopal for some time. My visits have been enjoyable and Dr Ramgopal and her staff are remarkable.
