We usually shop at DXL online and had no idea there were stores in NC, so we traveled from Hickory to shop today. Vicki and John were absolutely AMAZING! John got me so many size options in multiple clothing items and went above and beyond to ensure I purchased exactly what I wanted and needed. Vicki kept our 9 year old entertained and made us feel so welcome the whole time. We will no longer be shopping online, but will take the trip to visit this store again. TOP NOTCH customer service through and through!!!
I'm 6'1" and 250 and could never quite squeeze into the biggest stuff at department stores. Within like 30 seconds of eyeballing me, the staff got a full suit and a sport coat that fit perfectly. In and out in like 25 minutes with exactly what I needed for under $500. Ideal.
I realized during my flight to Charlotte that I had forgotten to bring a dress shirt for a wedding the next day. Being a larger guy it can very difficult to find shirts in my size. We arrived at the store just 5 minutes before closing. Both gentlemen on were incredible. They greeted me in a welcoming manner even though it was close to the end of their shift. I appreciate the incredible service that I was provided. So thankful that I was able find a great shirt in my size.
Great experience. Jay Joliet was great to work with. He has a great eye for colors and combinations. He was very helpful! DXL has definitely expanded their selection of clothing for big and tall men!! So many options in Nautica, Ralph Lauren, etc. Stores like Belk and Dillard's have gone to all slim fit pants and jackets, so it was nice to actually have clothes for my husband to try on! They also have a tailor that can make alterations if needed.
I walked in and said I needed a sport jacket and shirt for a funeral. The salesman gave me a quick look, asked about color, then handed me a jacket and shirt to try. Perfect fit. He nailed it first try without needing to measure. The man is good at what he does. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes with exactly what I needed.
DXL is on point. It caters to bigger men clientele. I had a great shopping experience. Go shop there. It's a wonderful place.
My boyfriend needed some stuff for a wedding and was able to get everything he needed from an excellent employee I wish I could remember his name! I wish there was a store like this for women of a similar size!
One star is too much. Didn't seem like they had time for a customer. Phone call and work behind the counter seemed to be more important. I was the only customer in the store, except for another customer who came in that I was left for and never returned to me.
The staff was very helpful, but they didn't have my size pants in stock. I'm 6ft 9in tall and they had the length in some pants but but not the waist size witch is 38, I needed a size 38/38 and only came in waist size 40 at the store and nothing in my length. Now the shirts and socks were great and I even got me some work socks in my size. 15 size shoes and 13/16 socks. Note the sign says big and tall, I guess I need to gain some weight to find pants to fit me.
Never knew this store was here. Nice design inside. Welcoming. John was professional and friendly. Decent prices too.
