We are a non-competition dance school located in the Minneapolis area. Since 2000, our well-rounded curriculum has offered progressive training in classical Ballet, Pointe, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theater for ages 3-Adult.
Our well-rounded curriculum offers progressive training in classical Ballet, Pointe, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theater & Hip Hop for ages 3-Adult. Also offered is a Ballet/Jazz class for ages 17-30 for dancers with Intellectual Disabilities/Special Needs. New to our program is Yoga classes, Parent & Child yoga for ages 3-8 as well as Teen and Adult classes, all taught by certified Yoga instructors. Our school is also home to our Youth Performance Company, a semi-professional performance company of ages 14-18.
We believe that training dancers involves proper technique and placement, as well as instilling self-confidence and a love of the art form. DDTS is a non-competition school. We see dance as an art form for everyone to enjoy, not a sport in which students must compete to "excel."
We hire teachers holding a degree in dance, or those who have had comparable professional training and experience. We are dedicated to providing our students with the best possible dance education.
