I’m surprised to see low reviews for this company. We’ve used them for years and always find their employee attentive and the bus waiting for us when we park. Don’t forget to wash your car free on your way out. Great setup and highly recommended for SLC parking.
Parking and shuttle service went very well. I would give 5 stars but I was charged an additional fee after I left without explanation. I didn't stay longer that my prepay stay indicated. I didn't use any additional services. But yet I was charged additional unknown fees. Very disappointing.
This is the first time we have ever used long term parking when flying out of Salt Lake City, and we were quite impressed! We did reservations online, about 1.5 weeks in advance before the travel dates. It went really smooth and email confirmation was clear and concise. As we pulled up with a paper confirmation, you scan the receipt and the toll arm comes up after it has been scanned and confirmed. We chose self covered parking, and parked in an available space. To our surprise, the shuttle to take us to the airport which only took seven minutes by the way was already waiting for us to arrive as the driver already knew our schedule! That was pretty impressive! He helped us load our luggage, into the shuttle, had a pleasant conversation with us, and even informed us of the new SLC airport wing, where he would be waiting to pick us up when we get back. We would DEFINITELY use them again in the near future!!
Great parking space! Free car wash included if you would like. Bas drivers are very friendly. I've been using them for years. :
We've used Diamond Airport Parking for several years and were surprised how slow their return service was this last time. Getting us over to the airport was fine; however when we returned to SLC, we waited outside the airport for 20+ minutes before they arrived to pick us up. We had texted and received confirmation that they knew we were waiting. We saw multiple vehicles from other shuttle companies come to pick up their customers as we continued to wait for Diamond. Frustrating when you're tired from traveling.
Do not waste your time and money by parking here! I was a long time Diamond parking diehard, but over the past year there has been a steady decline in reliability, timeliness and availability of drivers. To my shock, despite the worsening service, their pricing has steadily gone up and is now significantly higher than SLC long term parking. SLC Airport offers cheaper parking rates, more convenient transportation to/from the airport, safer vehicles and no hidden fees such as the fuel surcharge and airport tax In short, I am done being ripped off by Diamond Parking.
If you end up buying through a third party online they try to prevent you from leaving by trying to tack on additional fees and won't open the gate until you call someone or pay. Their prices recently have gotten closer to parking at SLC directly, diminishing the benefit of going there.
My family and I always park here. The other day my mom and I were dropping off my dads car here since he was arriving in the middle of the night and Lon followed us to where we eventually parked. We explained that we weren’t going to the airport and he offered to give us a ride back to the other car we brought to get home. He was super friendly and personable. We had Lon pick us up from the airport a separate time and he had put personal effort into making sure the water in the coolers were extra cold. I hope whoever is in charge here let’s Lon know how much they appreciate him and congratulate him on his hard work. He truly deserves the praise! Also for anyone wondering if they should park here you definitely should. They are relatively quick on picking up and dropping off. Most of the drivers are all very kind and you can get free cold water! That last part is a plus when you just come off the airplane and you are desperately dehydrated
The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Be careful prepaying online. I pre-paid and when my trip was unexpectedly extended I ended up having to pay again at the gate so I could leave because there were no employees at the gate at 8:00 pm. The kid that answered the phone the next day insisted there’s nothing they can do and wouldn’t even acknowledge there was a problem, so I over-paid for that stay because the person at the online reservation said the same thing. $92 for 5 days of uncovered was way too much. Combined with having to stand at my car for nearly 10 minutes waiting for the shuttle when I arrived, I will never park there again, even though the shuttle drivers are nice. My money was finally refunded after my husband went into the office and spoke to the manager in person. He had to show him my receipts and screenshots from my bank account showing the charges before he agreed I had been charged too much. I appreciate that it was resolved, and the manager made it more than right by refunding an additional two days, but we live two hours away and I don’t feel like it should have been that difficult. Luckily my husband travels frequently and was able to stop on his way home from a trip. I feel guilty leaving a bad review, because I know it’s difficult finding good employees but it really was the most frustrating customer service experience I’ve ever had.
I’m always waiting for 10-15 minutes for this shuttle at the airport, or the shuttles are full, as I watch other parking company’s shuttles pass by over and over again. And then I see the 3.7 rating for Diamond, and a 4.7 for The Parking Spot and realize I need to make a change.
